An abnormality detection apparatus for detecting an event where a monitored object in a room has lapsed into an abnormal state. The apparatus includes an image pickup system for picking up an image of a scene in the room, and feature-quantity extraction devices for extracting an image feature quantity from the image picked up by the image pickup devices. The apparatus also includes judgment devices for determining whether the monitored object in the room has lapsed into the abnormal state or not based on the time-variations of the image feature quantity extracted by the feature-quantity extraction devices, and outputting an alarm that responds to the determination of the occurrence of the abnormal state.

Liquid crystal for a right eye and liquid crystal for a left eye are not positioned in one plane, but are positioned to incline at an angle of 5&deg;. The construction in which the electric circuit is in the center of the liquid crystal shutter glasses portion makes it easy to make electric contact between the circuit and the electrode.

This disclosure is directed to an amorphous magnetic head which includes a main core having core halves each formed from non-laminated thin sheets of amorphous magnetic material, a non-magnetic spacer, with the core halves being abutted against each other through the non-magnetic spacer disposed in a head gap which is provided between the core halves and whose lower edge is defined by a coil winding opening formed in the core halves, and a set of reinforcing members applied onto opposite sides of the main core to hold the core halves between them. Resinous material is infiltered between the respective reinforcing members and the core halves for integration of the respective elements into one unit. The disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing such an amorphous magnetic head on a large scale in an efficient manner.

Method of manufacturing an amorphous magnetic head

This disclosure is directed to an amorphous magnetic head which includes a main core having core halves each formed from non-laminated thin sheets of amorphous magnetic material, a non-magnetic spacer, with the core halves being abutted against each other through the non-magnetic spacer disposed in a front gap which is provided between the core halves and whose lower edge is defined by a coil winding opening formed in the core halves, and a set of reinforcing members applied onto opposite sides of the main core to hold the core halves between them. Resinous material is infiltered between the respective reinforcing members and the core halves for integration of the respective elements into one unit. The disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing such an amorphous magnetic head on a large scale in an efficient manner.

A charging apparatus charges a plurality of rechargeable batteries individually and in succession. Each of the plurality of rechargeable batteries is coupled to one corresponding charging branch. The charging apparatus comprises a charging completion detecting circuit for detecting a charging completion of a rechargeable battery now in a charging operation, a high voltage detecting circuit for detecting an abnormal voltage of a charging branch now in a charging operation, wherein single pulse is generated responsive to the outputs of the charging completion detecting circuit and the abnormal voltage detecting circuit. A charging branch being connected to the charging voltage source is selectively and automatically switched responsive to the above described single pulse. Furthermore, the charging completion detecting circuit and the abnormal voltage detecting circuit are reset to an initial state responsive to the above described single pulse.

Apparatus for successively charging rechargeable batteries

A rechargeable battery is supplied with a charging voltage from a charging voltage source and exhibits a charging voltage characteristic having a peak shortly before the rechargeable battery reaches a fully charged state. A resistor voltage dividing circuit having a plurality of voltage output terminals is connected to both terminals of the rechargeable battery. A voltage memory device is provided for storing a predetermined voltage based on a voltage supplied from the voltage dividing circuit corresponding to the peak point of the charging voltage characteristic and comparison is made of the other output voltage obtained from the voltage dividing circuit after the peak point is passed and the stored voltage in the voltage memory device and a supply of a charging power from the charging voltage source to the rechargeable battery is interrupted when the difference between these voltages becomes zero.
