When detachment of a cell sheet from a culture dish has started at an unintended timing, immediately detach the cell sheet from the culture dish while preventing generation of wrinkles and the like in the cell sheet. A cell culture device captures an image of cells in the culture dish, and controls a cooling mechanism and a shaking mechanism based on the image so as to shake the cells while cooling them.

A method is disclosed for modifying a sheet-shaped cell culture containing at least two types of cells. The method includes soaking the sheet-shaped cell culture in a low nutrient isotonic solution; and changing a content ratio of the at least two cell types constituting the sheet-shaped cell culture.

Modification method for sheet-shaped cell culture

A blood vessel lumen forming method and medical elongate body to form such a lumen are other aspects of the disclosure and involve introducing gel into the recess to at least partially fill the recess with the gel, and drilling the gel to remove at least some of the gel to form a passage and secure blood flow in the blood vessel.
