A plug connector of the present disclosure includes a plug housing and a plurality of plug terminals stored in the plug housing. This plug connector is fitted in a receptacle connector having a receptacle terminal, and is connected to a cable having a sheet shape and including a cable terminal, thereby establishing electrical connection between the receptacle terminal and the cable terminal. Each of the plug terminals has a contact section and a connection section. The contact section is contactable with the receptacle terminal, and the connection section is connectable to the cable terminal. In a state in which the plug connector is fitted in the receptacle connector, the connection section is disposed such that the connection section is exposed from the plug housing.

Plug connector and connector set

A connector includes a contact in an elongated shape that is electrically conductive, and a housing that has an internal space is formed. The contact includes a contact portion, a connection portion, a fixing portion, and a protruding portion. The contact portion is to be electrically connected to an electrically conductive member when the contact is housed in the housing. The connection portion is electrically connected to a core wire of an electrical wire. The fixing portion is provided on a side opposite to the contact portion relative to the connection portion, and fixes a covering of the electrical wire. The protruding portion is provided on an end portion side of the fixing portion opposite to the connection portion so as to protrude. The protruding portion reduces the amount of movement of the contact inside the internal space of the housing.

Connector and connector device

A connector includes a contact connected to a member to be connected and brought into contact with a wire so as to electrically connect the member to be connected and the wire. The contact includes contact portions coming into contact with the wire when the wire moves in a perpendicular direction perpendicular to a wire extending direction in which the wire extends, and movement restriction members for restricting a movement of the wire on the contact in a state where the wire is in contact with the contact portions. The contact further includes a movement regulation member for regulating a movement of the wire in the perpendicular direction in the state where the wire is in contact with the contact portions.

Connector, contact used in connector, housing, wired housing, and method for manufacturing wired housing

A cable holding member includes a stopper member and a housing. The stopper member has an attachment surface for supporting a flat cable in a folded state. The housing has a mounting surface which is provided at an opening edge of a housing space for housing the stopper member and on which the flat cable is to be placed, and recesses into which protrusions of the flat cable placed on the mounting surface are to be fitted. The flat cable is placed on the mounting surface, and then, the stopper member is inserted into the housing space of the housing. In this way, the stopper member is attached to the housing with the flat cable being supported on the attachment surface.

Cable holding member, plug connector, connector device, flat cable, and method for assembling plug connector

The connector device of one embodiment of the present invention includes an electrical connection device and a receptacle connector. The cable holding member includes a supporting part and a wall part. The supporting part includes a supporting face for supporting a flat cable in a folded state. The wall part is provided to the supporting part so as to be on a side of the flat cable in a width direction of the flat cable supported on the supporting part. A groove for receiving a first protrusion of the flat cable is provided to an internal face of the wall part.

A connector includes a socket having a generally rectangular shape, the socket including socket contacts, lock mechanisms and retainer mechanisms; and a header having a generally rectangular shape, the header including header contacts and lock mechanisms and being couplable with the socket. The lock mechanisms of the socket and the header are respectively formed from the socket contacts and the header contacts, the lock mechanisms of the socket being formed by cutting away a portion of the socket contacts. The lock mechanisms of the header also serve as retainer mechanisms thereof. The lock mechanisms of the socket and the header are arranged substantially in the same row as the socket contacts and the header contacts and positioned near four corners of the socket and the header, respectively. The lock mechanisms of the socket and the header are configured to keep the socket and the header in a coupled state.

Connector having a lock mechanism for keeping a socket and a header coupled, and method for manufacturing the connector

A connector includes a generally rectangular socket and a generally rectangular header couplable with the socket. The header is provided with arch-shaped engaging members arranged in opposite short sides thereof, the engaging members being elastically deformable in the longitudinal direction of the header. Each of the engaging members includes a protrusion portion protruding from the header or socket in the longitudinal direction thereof. The socket includes retainer portions engageable with the respective protrusion portions of the engaging members. The engaging members are elastically deformed when the header is coupled with the socket.

A socket includes a socket housing of an insulator to which plural socket contacts to be soldered to a conductive pattern of a circuit substrate, and a fitting metal for fixture to the circuit substrate are attached, in which the fitting metal includes plate-like side plates that are exposed along end surfaces of the socket housing, anchors that are formed by folding the side plates to bite into the housing, and an attachment piece that protrudes from a bottom plate to outside of the socket housing to be fixed to the circuit substrate.

To provide a connector that enhances the reliability of connection between the ground and a shield constituting a shell. A socket constitutes the connector together with a header which is mounted on a different printed wiring board. The socket includes a socket body which is provided with a connection recess, a plurality of socket contacts which are held by the socket body, and a pitch direction shield and a terminal direction shield constituting the shell which surround the connection recess and which prevents electromagnetic noise from coming in and out. The pitch direction shield and the terminal direction shield are provided with terminals soldered to conductive pattern of the ground.

Contact portions of a socket contact and a header contact are pressed and thinned, and sloping steps formed by the process that presses and thins in the socket contact and the header contact are engaged with each other to suppress disengagement of the contacts.
