As a grease to be enclosed in the portion in which a rolling bearing is installed, there is used a urea-based grease. An elastic material constituting a sealing plate is made of a vulcanizable fluororubber composition containing a vinylidene fluoride-tetrafluoroethylene-propylene terpolymer or tetrafluoroethylene-propylene bipolymer.

A rolling bearing has a grease filled therein. The grease contains a perfluoropolyether oil having a straight-chain structure having a dynamic viscosity of from 40 to 160 mm,/s, preferably from 40 to 100 mm,/s, at 40&deg; C. as a base oil and a particulate fluororesin as a base oil, and a particulate polytetrafluoroethylene as a thickening agent.

Rolling bearing

In a rolling bearing including an inner race; an outer race; a plurality of rolling elements rollingly arranged between the inner race and the outer race; and a cage holding the rolling elements, the cage has an annular shape and a plurality of pockets which are formed at plural positions in a circumferential direction of the cage, in which each of the pockets has an opening peripheral portion which is curved to a direction of increasing a distance from a center of the rolling elements. The opening peripheral portion forms a chamfered face or a convex face. The rolling bearing can sufficiently ensure the lubrication of sliding contact portions between the cage and rolling elements so that vibrations and noises of the rolling bearing are lowered.

In a seal for a rolling bearing, the seal has a molding member formed from a rubber material, the molding member including a lip portion, the molding member having 0.3 to 5.0 MPa of tensile stress at 10% strain and no less than 50% of elongation at break after the rubber material is subjected to an accelerated air aging at 130.degree. C. for 1000 hours. The rubber material includes the nitrile rubber compound containing a raw-material rubber, with respect to 100 weight parts of the raw-material rubber, 0.3 to 5.0 weight parts of an age resistor, and 0.3 to 5.0 weight parts of at least one secondary age resistor. The seal prevents grease enclosed in the rolling bearing from leaking out, the lip portion from being broken, and dust resistance from being lowered even in the case where the rolling bearing is used in a high-temperature environment.
