A liquid-filled vibration damping device including a main unit and a bracket, the main unit including first and second attachments connected by a rubber body, and a closure member locked to the second attachment from below with a seal member sandwiched therebetween to seal a liquid chamber. The second attachment includes a pair of metallic connectors inserted into a pair of metallic grooves of the bracket. The metal is exposed on lower faces of the connectors which are pressed against groove-inside lower faces of the grooves in metal-to-metal contact. Convex parts protruding downward are provided at far-side ends of the connectors while concave parts are provided on the grooves at locations corresponding to the convex parts. Detent engagers preventing dislodgment of the connectors inserted in the grooves are constituted in metal-to-metal contact by the convex parts entering the concave parts to be engaged.

Liquid-filled vibration damping device

A fluid-filled vibration damping device including a partition having a housing area, and a movable film housed in the housing area while including a central retainer held by the partition and spoke-shaped retainers extending radially outward from the central retainer. A first surface of the movable film is overlapped on a wall inner surface of the housing area. An elastic deformation zone provided circumferentially between the spoke-shaped retainers is allowed to deform in a direction away from the wall inner surface, and includes a cushion ridge projecting from a second surface of the movable film while extending radially outward from the central retainer. A height of the cushion ridge is varied in a direction of extension such that a timing of contact with an opposing wall inner surface in the housing area varies depending on an amount of deformation of the elastic deformation zone.

Fluid-filled vibration damping device

A vibration damping device including a vibration-damping device main unit inserted into a mounting space of a bracket from a lateral side and securely supported by the bracket. The bracket includes engaging pieces on respective opposed inside faces of the mounting space, and engaging action of the engaging pieces with respect to respective detent engaging faces formed on a fixture member of the vibration-damping device main unit prevents the vibration-damping device main unit from becoming dislodged from the mounting space of the bracket. Opposed walls of the mounting space are each penetrated by an aperture window, and inspection flat surfaces are separately provided to an outside surface of each engaging piece visible from an outside through the aperture window and a corresponding external side surface of the bracket that is off the aperture window. The inspection flat surfaces are parallel to each other.

Vibration damping device and method of manufacturing the same

A vibration isolation device with bracket includes a first attachment member and a second attachment member coupled by a main body rubber elastomer. The second attachment member has a frame shape with a through hole. The main body rubber elastomer is fastened to an upper surface side of the second attachment member. The main body rubber elastomer penetrates to a lower surface side of the second attachment member through the through hole. A holding rubber is formed integrally with the main body rubber elastomer on a lower surface of fitting portions of the second attachment member. A fixed surface is arranged on an upper surface of the fitting portions. The fixed surface is exposed by the main body rubber elastomer, directly superimposed on an inner surface of the fitting grooves, and pressed and fixed by static friction to the inner surface of the fitting grooves by the holding rubber.

Vibration isolation device with bracket

A vibration damping device including a vibration-damping device main unit attached to a bracket from a lateral side by a second attachment member being fitted to opposed walls provided on widthwise opposite sides of the bracket. The bracket includes flexible latches extending from the respective opposed walls forward in a direction of attachment. The second attachment member includes outer recesses respectively opening onto surfaces overlapped with the respective opposed walls. Each latch has a slope portion sloping inward in a width direction of the bracket such that a distal end face of the latch is inserted in the corresponding outer recess. The distal end face of the latch is latched by a forward wall inner face of the outer recess, and displacement of the second attachment member relative to the bracket in a direction of dislodgment opposite to the direction of attachment is limited.

Vibration damping device

In an anti-vibration apparatus having a bracket where an anti-vibration apparatus body in which a first mounting member and the second mounting member are connected by a body rubber elastic body is horizontally mounted to the bracket by fitting parts disposed on two sides of a width direction of the second mounting member in the anti-vibration apparatus body to fitting grooves disposed on opposite inner surfaces on two sides of a width direction of the bracket, a locking hole is provided on a deep wall part located on a deep side in a mounting direction of the second mounting member in the bracket, and a locking part is disposed at a tip portion in the mounting direction of the second mounting member to the bracket, and prevents return in a direction opposite to the mounting direction by inserting and locking the locking part to the locking hole.

Anti-vibration apparatus having bracket

A fluid-filled vibration-damping device including: a first mounting member; a second mounting member; a main rubber elastic body elastically connecting the two mounting members; a fluid chamber whose wall is constituted by the main rubber elastic body at a portion and by a flexible film at another portion, the fluid chamber being filled with a non-compressible fluid; a fixation member being attached to an outer peripheral rim of the flexible film and being disposed inside or outside the tubular second mounting member such that the fixation member is superposed to the second mounting member in an axis-perpendicular direction; an insertion hole formed in the second mounting member and the fixation member; and a positioning member inserted through the insertion hole so as to relatively position the second mounting member and the fixation member at a scaling position by axial locking.

A bracket-equipped vibration-damping device including: a vibration-damping device main body including vertically-separated, elastically-connected first and second mounting members; a bracket receiving the device main body inserted laterally thereinto; a connection-insert section provided for the second mounting member; a connection groove provided for the bracket extending in an insertion direction of the device main body; at least one up-down urging rubber fixed on an outer surface of the connection-insert section on an upper-lower first side; and a lock protrusion formed on an inner surface of the connection groove on an upper-lower second side, with a smaller protrusion dimension than an up-down thickness of the up-down urging rubber such that the connection-insert section is laterally inserted into the connection groove beyond the lock protrusion before being urged to the second side by the up-down urging rubber to be positioned to the connection groove.

Bracket-equipped vibration-damping device

A bracket-equipped vibration-damping device including: a vibration-damping device main unit including first and second mounting members disposed separately from each other vertically and connected by a main rubber elastic body mutually and elastically; and a bracket mounted to the device main unit in a state that the bracket is fixed to the second mounting member inserted into the bracket laterally. A guide part of the second mounting member is inserted into a guide groove of the bracket extending in an insertion direction to be positioned vertically. The bracket includes a compression wall surface superposed to at least one of upper and lower end surfaces of the device main unit. A groove width inner surface of the guide groove opposite vertically to the compression wall surface is tilted to the compression wall surface so that the surfaces approach each other vertically toward the insertion direction.

A water pump attachment structure of a water-cooled internal combustion engine is provided to facilitate the maintenance of a valve train. A water pump attachment structure of a water-cooled internal combustion engine includes a semicircular cut-away surface of a water pump holder opposed to a semicircular surface of a cylinder head to form a water pump support circular hole. Screw members are passed through respective screw through-holes of the cylinder head and threadedly engaged with internal thread holes of the water pump holder. Thus, the water pump holder is fastened to the cylinder head. A water pump is fitted into and secured to the water pump support circular hole. A cylinder head cover is attached to the cylinder head by allowing their mating surfaces to conform with each other with the water pump holder liquid-tightly sandwiched therebetween.

Water pump attachment structure of water-cooled internal combustion engine

An lubrication device for an engine includes: a crank case which freely rotatably supports a crank shaft and also which stores oil at its lower part; an oil strainer which is so arranged as to be fixed in the crank case; and an oil pump which suctions the oil at the lower part in the crank case via the oil strainer. In the lubricating device, the machining efficiency can be improved by reducing the time of machining to a crank case to thereby decentralize machining processes, and also the oil temperature can be reduced. A crank case cover covering part of a crank case and coupled with the crank case is provided with an oil suction passage which leads to an oil pump, and an oil strainer communicates with the oil suction passage via a connecting pipe which is a member different from the crank case.

Lubricating device for engine

A belt continuously variable transmission apparatus having a case which includes a power transmission case (which is part of a crankcase of an engine), a power transmission case cover, and an actuator cover assembled forwardly of the power transmission case cover (displaced forwardly on a vehicle body). The actuator cover is formed as a separate member from the power transmission case cover, and supports a motor for driving a movable part of a driving pulley. In addition, the actuator cover covers a gear system. The actuator cover is integrated with a cover of the water pump. The resulting configuration improves the assembling of the actuator cover of the belt continuously variable transmission apparatus.

V-belt type continuously variable transmission

An engine cooling structure for a water cooled engine includes water pump and a thermostat. The water pump pumps coolant to a water jacket of the engine. The water pump and thermostat are provided on a cover member installed on an outside of a crankcase of the engine, and a coolant passage, which communicates with the water jacket through the water pump from the thermostat, is integrally formed in the cover member, so as to obtain arrangement of the cooling structure that is efficient in terms of space. The engine cooling structure increases the degree of freedom of layout around a cylinder head by keeping the projection amount on a side of the cylinder head small, simplifies the piping construction, and reduces the number of assembly steps.

Engine cooling structure, and engine incorporating same

A thermostat mounting structure capable of reliably positioning an embedded thermostat and ensuring high sealability. A coolant channel is formed in a casing. An embedding hole is formed in the casing across the coolant channel. A thermostat includes a cylindrical valve body with a surrounding wall having an entry aperture and an exit aperture. A valving element for advancing and retracting to open and close the entry aperture and the exit aperture. The thermostat is inserted into the embedding hole so that both apertures face the coolant channel. A cover member for covering the embedding hole via a circular rubber seal seated in a groove of the cover member and for fixing the thermostat. A positioning structure for positioning the thermostat to a side of the cover member.

Thermostat mounting structure

A blowby gas ventilation system for an internal combustion engine capable of preventing oil from being diluted by efficiently and quickly exhausting a blowby gas together with a water content and the like from a crank chamber through forced ventilation of the crank chamber. The blowby gas ventilation system is intended for a four-stroke-cycle internal combustion engine. The system includes a fresh air introduction pipe, through which fresh air is sent from an outside of the internal combustion engine through a throttle portion to a crank chamber. The system also includes a blowby gas return passageway, through which the blowby gas is returned back to a downstream side of an air cleaner.
