A display device includes a fixed light source, a heat dissipator, a liquid-crystal panel, and a controller. The heat dissipator is attached to the light source. The liquid-crystal panel includes a display area and is movable with respect to the light source. The controller controls movement of the liquid-crystal panel to change the distance between the liquid-crystal panel and the light source.

Display device

The combiner has a reflecting surface that reflects incident light. When the incident light has an incident angle in a range from 0&#xb0; to 25&#xb0;, inclusive, defined as a first value, in a wavelength range from 400 nm to 700 nm, inclusive, the upper limit wavelength of a wavelength range having a reflectance of 90% or more of the reflectance peak of the incident light is shorter than 700 nm. When the incident angle takes a second value in a range from 60&#xb0; to 85&#xb0;, inclusive, in the wavelength range from 400 nm to 700 nm, inclusive, the reflectance peak of an S-wave component contained in the incident light has a wavelength shorter than 570 nm.

Combiner and head-up display device using same

In a head-up display device, first and second cover parts of a cover each cover an opening. The first cover part is turnable about a first rotation fulcrum fixed to a housing, with respect to the housing. The second cover part is turnable about a second rotation fulcrum fixed to first and second ends of the first cover part, with respect to the first cover part. The head-up display device includes a biasing member that biases the second cover part toward the outside of the housing when the cover covers the opening.

Head-up display device

In a head-up display device, in accordance with lifting and lowering operations of a combiner, each protrusion of a combiner support moves along a guide portion, causing a cover-operation member to turn about a rotary axis in a direction in which a cover is opened or closed. The guide portion includes, from top in order: a first guide portion which engages with the protrusion in a first state (use state); a second guide portion which engages with the protrusion when the cover-operation member turns; and a third guide portion which engages with the protrusion in a second state (non-use state). The angle formed by the direction in which the first guide portion extends and the direction in which the third guide portion extends is less than the angle formed by the direction in which the first guide portion extends and the direction in which the second guide portion extends.

First and second cover members of a cover of a head-up display device cover an opening region of a housing. The first cover member is rotationally movable with respect to the housing around a first rotation fulcrum fixed to the housing. The second cover member is rotationally movable with respect to the first cover member around second rotation fulcrums respectively fixed to first and second end parts of the first cover member. When the first cover member turns with respect to the housing and the second cover member turns with respect to the first cover member, the first end part is located at an outer side than a first side of a mirror, and the second end part is located at an outer side than a second side of the mirror. The second cover member is not present in an optical path of light projected from a projector to the mirror.

Heads-up display device

A headup display device includes: a display having an emission surface that emits display light relating to predetermined information; a reflecting member that is disposed above the display and reflects the display light emitted from the display; a combiner part on which the display light reflected off the reflecting member is incident; a transmissive member that is disposed between the display and the reflecting member to cover the emission surface and transmits the display light emitted from the display toward the reflecting member; and a blocking member that is disposed above the transmissive member and blocks out light that is reflected off the transmissive member to be incident on the combiner part. A transmissive-member-side end of the blocking member is disposed to be movable from a first position where the light is blocked out to a second position closer to the transmissive member than the first position is.

Headup display device

A combiner lifting device includes: a support unit that includes a first pin and a second pin, and supports a combiner; and two side surface portions disposed on both sides of the combiner, respectively. Each of the side surface portions includes a first groove along which the first pin slides, and a second groove along which the second pin slides. The side surface portions support the support unit in such a manner that the support unit is rotatable around the first pin when the first pin is located at an end of the first groove.

Combiner raising/lowering device and headup display device

A panel opening/closing device includes: a support which supports a panel and is turnable about a first rotary shaft; a dial which is turnable about a second rotary shaft in accordance with an operation by a user; and a movable unit which undergoes horizontal movement and includes pins inserted into a groove of the dial and a groove of the support, respectively.

Panel opening/closing device

A holding pin protrudes from a first opening of a through hole, enters a hole formed in a tip tool, and holds the tip tool. A spring member energizes the holding pin. A bush is press-fitted in the through hole and supports the spring member at a first end portion thereof. An inner diameter of a second opening of the through hole is formed larger than an outer diameter of the bush. As a result of this, a second end portion of the bush is arranged to avoid contact with the second opening of the through hole.

Power tool

The present application discloses a wavelength conversion device. The wavelength conversion device includes a light source for generating excitation light, a laser medium for generating fundamental light from the excitation light, a resonator mirror for forming a resonator for the fundamental light in cooperation with the laser medium, and a wavelength convertor for converting wavelength from the fundamental light into harmonic light. The wavelength convertor includes a first end surface inclined by an angle &#x3b8; from a surface orthogonal to an optical axis of the resonator and a second end surface parallel to the first end surface.

Wavelength conversion device and image display device

A wavelength conversion device includes an excitation light source that generates excitation light, a laser medium that generates fundamental light by means of the excitation light, two resonator mirrors that are disposed with the laser medium being interposed therebetween and resonate the fundamental light, a wavelength conversion element that is disposed between the two resonator mirrors and wavelength-converts the fundamental light to harmonic light, and a drive unit that generates a pulse modulation signal to pulse-drive the excitation light source. The laser medium is formed of a material having a thermo-optical effect and a positive thermo-optical constant. The pulse modulation signal generated by the drive unit has an initial interval including a rising edge of a pulse and a remaining interval subsequent to the initial interval. An average signal intensity during the initial interval is higher than an average signal intensity during the remaining interval.

Wavelength conversion device and image display apparatus using same

An image display apparatus includes: a laser light source for outputting a laser beam; a diffusion optical element for diffusing the laser beam; a drive unit for oscillating the diffusion optical element; and an image conversion unit for converting the laser beam output from the diffusion optical element into an image. The diffusion optical element disposed in the drive unit is oscillated and operated in a state where an amplitude of the drive of the drive unit, which is, for example, an amplitude that is driven in a direction of the arrow X in a plane that is perpendicular to an optical axis, is not constant.

Image display apparatus which reduces speckle noise and which operates with low power consumption

There is provided a laser projector, including: a laser source section for emitting laser beams; a spatial light modulator which modulates the laser beams to generate image light; a projector lens from which the image light is emitted; a beam shaper which shapes the laser beams into a shape of the spatial light modulator; and a pupil uniformizer which makes a light intensity distribution uniform at an exit pupil of the projector lens, wherein the pupil uniformizer is situated between the laser source section and the beam shaper.

A projector for projecting an image light including: a laser light source for emitting a laser beam; a light modulator for modulating the laser beam to generate the image light; a projection portion for projecting the image light; a detector for detecting a fixation degree of the projector; and a controller for controlling the power of the image light on the basis of the fixation degree.

A light projection device, includes a movable projector section which illuminates or display information by projecting light while moving a projection position; a position detecting section which detects a position of a lost article instructed by a user; a view field detecting section which detects a view field of the user, and a controller section which controls said movable projection section based on the lost article detected by the position detecting section and the view field of the user detected by the view field detecting section, and either directly illuminates the lost article or projects guide information for guiding the user to the lost article within a view field of the user.
