This flexible thermal-control material (A) is obtained by stacking: a reflective layer () which reflects sunlight; and an infrared-ray emission layer () which emits infrared rays. The infrared-ray emission layer () is configured from a radiation-crosslinked fluororesin material. Accordingly, a flexible thermal-control material is achieved which satisfies all of a plurality of conditions related to solar absorption (&#x3b1;), total hemispheric infrared ray emissivity (&#x3b5;), radiation resistance, and atomic oxygen resistance.

Flexible thermal-control material, and production method therefor

This flexible thermal-control material (A) is obtaining by stacking: a reflective layer () which reflects sunlight; and an infrared-ray emission layer () which emits infrared rays. The infrared-ray emission layer () is configured from a silicone material. Accordingly, a flexible thermal-control material is achieved which exhibits excellent optical characteristics such as solar absorption (&#x3b1;).

Flexible thermal-control material

A lightweight cask comprises a barrel body which shields gamma rays. A resin which shields neutrons is provided on the periphery of the barrel body. A basket is made of a plurality of square pipes having neutron absorbing ability. There is a cavity inside the barrel body. This cavity is worked to have a shape corresponding to the outer shape of the basket. The square pipes are inserted in this cavity so as to abut against this inner surface. Furthermore, chamfered portions are provided on the outside surface of the barrel body at 90&deg; intervals and space portions are formed between another resin and an outer casing.

Cask and production method of cask, and embedded form

A neutron shield formed by blending two-part reactive cold-setting epoxy resin consisting of long-chain aliphatic glycidyl ether epoxy resin containing reactive diluent as main component, and a mixture of alicyclic polyamine, polyamide polyamine, aliphatic polyamine and epoxy adduct as hardener of the two-part reactive cold-setting epoxy resin, aluminum hydroxide of high purity with impurity soda content of 0.07% by weight or less, and boron carbide is used as resin of a cask.
