A position sensing device includes at least one light receiver, and a processor. The light receiver receives lights that are emitted from a plurality of light exit positions of a scanning light source component to scan a predetermined area and are reflected by a sensing object within the predetermined area. The processor controls the scanning light source component, and senses position of the sensing object based on a light reception signal of the light receiver. The processor further determines from which of the scanning lights the light reception signal is obtained, and senses the position of the sensing object based on optical paths of the scanning lights.

This projector includes a laser light generation portion, a projection portion scanning laser light, and a projection screen. The projection screen includes a lens member including a plurality of lens portions splitting the laser light and a diffusion member arranged to be opposed to the lens member, having an incident surface and a diffusion portion. The diffusion portion of the diffusion member is arranged at a position apart by a distance larger than the focal length of the lens member along an optical axis with respect to the optical principal surface of the lens member.

Provided is a projector capable of suppressing deterioration of a portion of a projection portion irradiated with a laser beam while improving brightness. This projector is formed to deviate optical axes of laser beams emitted from a plurality of laser beam generation portions respectively from each other so that the laser beams emitted from the plurality of laser beam generation portions respectively do not concentrate on one point of a projection portion.

Projector capable of suppressing deterioration of irradiated projection while improving brightness

Techniques capable of effectively reducing local speckle noise caused by scanning with laser light involving a variation in scanning speed and improving the overall quality of an image are provided. In some examples, a laser light source emits laser light with an output level corresponding to a display grayscale of a pixel according to a predetermined waveform pattern within a pixel display period which is set to increase as a scanning speed is reduced. The waveform pattern is set such that a unique relaxation oscillation of the laser light source increases as the scanning speed is reduced. A scanning mirror reflects the laser light emitted from the laser light source in a predetermined scanning order according to its deflection angle so as to be projected onto a projection surface.
