Connector-with-lever

The mating structure includes a bracket defined to be fitted to a base body. The bracket has a guide portion consisting of an inclined portion and a lock opening turned from the inclined portion. The structure further has a first connector pivotably attached to the bracket and a second connector provided on a fitting panel constructed to be attached to the base body. The second connector has an engagement piece associated with the guide portion of the bracket. The fitting panel is pivotable toward the base body side when the first and second connectors have mated completely. The first and second connectors are completely mated with each other when the engagement piece has reached the lock opening. The lock opening is directed perpendicularly to the disengagement direction of the first and second connectors when the fitting panel has completely pivoted toward the base body. The structure may include a third connector mounted on the base body and a fourth connector that is provisionally held by a resilient holding arm formed on the fitting panel. The attachment completion of the fitting panel also allows the complete mating of the third and fourth connectors.

Electrical connector mating structure

A female terminal (1) for electrically connecting with a male terminal (40) comprises a box-shaped electrical connection portion, (10) a first resilient contact piece (13) integrally formed on one of an inner face of a bottom wall (3) of the electrical connection portion (10) and an inner face of a top wall (4) of the electrical connection portion, (10) a second resilient contact piece (23) integrally formed on one of the inner face of the bottom wall (3) and the inner face of the top wall, (4) the second resilient contact piece (23) arranged so as to separate from the first resilient contact piece, (13) and a first indent (14) formed on a free end portion (13) of the first resilient elastic contact piece (14) for peeling off an oxide film adhering to the male terminal (40).

Female terminal

A lamp socket is disclosed. The lamp socket comprises a socket body engaged with a lamp, a cylindrical hood accommodating a light emitting portion of the lamp, the hood having a first end portion formed integrally with the lamp socket, and a second end portion forming a peripheral edge of an opening in which the lamp can be inserted therefrom, a flange provided on an outer peripheral face of the hood and abutting against a peripheral edge of a mounting hole in a panel, an elastic engaging portion disposed on the outer peripheral face of the hood and engaging with the peripheral edge of the mounting hole in the panel, and a protecting portion provided at both sides of the elastic engaging portion on the outer peripheral face of the hood and preventing the elastic engaging portion from deforming by external force.

Lamp socket

In the metal piece 32 which diffuses into the fuse element so that an alloy layer is generated, there is formed an expanding slot 30, which is inserted and pressured in the fusing portion 25b of the fusible body 25 which forms the fuse element. Due to the foregoing, the metallic mass 32 of low fusing point is fixed to the fusible body 25 while it surrounds the circumferential surface of the fusing portion 25b.

Current limiting fuse having a non-directional fusing characteristic

There is disclosed an arcless fuse in which adverse effects on an equipment due to an arc discharge, produced when the fuse is melted, are prevented, and also melted metal is prevented from dissipating. An arcless fuse includes a fuse element 25 having opposite ends connected respectively to a pair of terminals 23 and 23, the fuse element being in the form of one of a wire and a strip. A part of the fuse element 25 intermediate the opposite ends thereof is formed into such a non-linear configuration that a plurality of portions are arranged in closely spaced relation to one another, and the fuse element 25 is molded in a housing 27 of a synthetic resin. Preferably, an amorphous resin is used as the synthetic resin molding the fuse element 25 therein.

A fusible member of a fusible link element used as a large-current fuse comprises a sealed box-shaped structure having a pouring hole through an upper wall thereof. Molten tin is poured into this sealed box-shaped structure through the pouring hole, and is solidified to be integrated with the sealed box-shaped structure.

Fusible member of a fusible link element

A secondary short preventing mechanism of a fuse is constituted by a pair of female terminal members in which male terminal receiving portions are formed at their longitudinally one ends respectively so that the male terminal receiving portions are to be engaged with and electrically connected to male terminal portions, and a fuse fusing portion is formed between their longitudinally other ends connected to each other; and a housing for housing the female terminal portions, and having a vertically extending insulation partition for horizontally separating the female terminal portions from each other. Each of the male terminal receiving portions has raised pressing contact portions which face each other at different levels, that is, at upper and lower positions in its longitudinal direction, the upper pressing contact portion being projected toward the insulation partition and having elasticity, respectively.

Secondary short preventing mechanism of fuse

A fuse 15 includes a housing 2 of an insulative resin having a lid 13 and a housing body 11, and a fuse body 1 having a melting portion formed between a pair of press-connecting terminals 4 and 5 arranged in a staggered manner, the fuse body being received in the housing 2. A sheathed wire is press-connected to and retained by the press-connecting terminals 4 and 5 of the fuse body 1, a portion of the sheathed wire, mounted between the press-connecting terminals 4 and 5, being cut, to thereby provide a fuse which has a simple construction, and can be easily mounted at an existing circuit, and also to provide a method of mounting such a fuse.

There is disclosed a fuse with a secondary short-circuit prevention mechanism in which a melting portion, when melted, will not be brought into an unstably supported-condition, thereby positively preventing the melting portion from being again short-circuited. A fuse element 23 includes a pair of parallel terminal portions 29 and 29 interconnected by a connecting portion 31, and a fusible portion 33 is formed at the connecting portion 31. A housing 25 includes terminal receiving chambers for respectively receiving the terminal portions 29 and 29, and a fuse element receiving space for receiving the connecting portion 31, the terminal receiving chambers communicating with the fuse element receiving space. Fixing means 47 and 63 for fixing opposite ends of the connecting portion 31 to an inner surface of the fuse element receiving space 53 are provided at the opposite ends of the connecting portion 31 and the inner surface of the fuse element receiving space, and the fusible portion 33 is provided between the opposite ends of the connecting portion 31.

Fuse with secondary short-circuit prevention mechanism

A secondary short preventing mechanism of a fuse is constituted by a pair of female terminal members in which male terminal receiving portions are formed at their longitudinally one ends respectively so that the male terminal receiving portions are to be engaged with and electrically connected to male terminal portions, and a fuse fusing portion is formed between their longitudinally other ends; and a housing for housing the female terminal portions, the housing having a vertically extending insulation partition for horizontally separating the male terminal receiving portions from each other in a loosely fitted state. Each of the male terminal receiving portions has raised pressing contact portions which oppose to each other at different levels, that is, at upper and lower positions in their longitudinal directions, the upper pressing contact portion being directed toward the insulation partition, and at least one of the pressing contact portions having elasticity.

In a fusible link connection box, a pair of through holes through which terminal legs of a large male fusible link are to be respectively passed are opened in the bottom of a rectangular cup-like portion which is disposed in the upper portion of the base body, and a pair of terminal pieces to which a small female fusible link is to be connected are disposed within the through holes. The terminal pieces protrude from the upper ends of bus bars which are fastened together with lead wire terminals to terminal nuts which are attached to the sides of a center wall. The center wall vertically downward elongates from the bottom.

Fusible link connection box

A fuse including a fusible link element having a pair of terminal portions and a fusible portion through which the terminal portions are connected to each other, the terminal portions having upward locking pieces at upper corners thereof, a housing for receiving the fusible link element, having stepped recesses between inner and outer walls thereof in which end portions of the upward locking pieces are fitted when the upward locking pieces are bent inwardly, and a housing cover for closing an open end of the housing, having legs which are extended towards the housing so that the legs are abutted against the end portions of the upward locking pieces when the cover is fitted to the housing, lower ends of the legs having taper surfaces brought into contact with the outer sides of the upward locking pieces.

Fuse structure

Bifurcated gripping pieces, each having a clearance in a thickness direction of a terminal, are projected from inner edge portions of respective terminals so as to confront each other. An inserting opening of an inserting space is made on a lower surface of a housing. Closing plates interposed between a pair of slits extending in a terminal inserting direction from the inserting opening are arranged on both lateral walls of the housing. The pair of closing plates are gripped between the respective gripping pieces while inserted into the clearances of the respective gripping pieces with the terminals inserted into the inserting space.

Blade fuse with bifurcated gripping pieces

An object of the present invention is to provide a connection box for plural kinds of fusible links each having different dimensions wherein the connection box is constructed in such a manner as to allow the respective fusible links to be firmly fitted to the connection box with excellent stability. The connection box for plural kinds of fusible links is integrally molded of a heat-resisting synthetic resin and includes a horizontal box-shaped portion and a vertical wall portion as essential components. An opposing pair of common slots are formed through a bottom wall of the horizontal box-shaped portion while extending not only in parallel with each other but also in parallel with the opposite side walls defining a peripheral wall of the horizontal box-shaped portion. The interior of the peripheral wall is stepwise recessed so an to enable plural kinds of fusible links each having different dimensions to be received therein. In the shown case, two kinds of inner peripheral walls are formed inside of the peripheral wall of the horizontal box-shaped portion so as to receive two kinds of housings for the fusible links herein.
