An optical apparatus is arranged to automatically control, on the basis of an object distance, a convergence distance of right and left optical systems arranged to cause right and left optical images having a predetermined amount of parallax to enter a photographing optical system, and has a plurality of modes in which a difference between the convergence distance and the object distance varies.

Optical apparatus

A user changes the shapes of the side frames from the shapes at the positions indicated by dashed lines at which no external force is applied to those at the positions indicated by dashed lines, and mounts the side frames on the head. As a result, the side frames and rear mount pads perfectly fit on the head, as indicated by solid lines. The user therefore can see video on a main body of a display unit in a natural state without any strain.

Head mount display

An image reading apparatus includes a carriage for holding a film holder holding a film, a motor for moving the carriage, and a housing for holding the carriage and the motor. While the motor moves the carriage, a first portion of the carriage is positioned by being slidably clamped by the housing, and a second portion which is in the opposite side of the first portion of the carriage is slidably positioned by a guide shaft. An image reading apparatus includes an image sensor for sensing an image from an original, a conveyor for conveying the original, a first board on which an image processing circuit for performing predetermined processing for an image signal output from the image sensor is mounted, and a second board on which a power supply circuit for supplying power to the image processing circuit is mounted. The first and second boards are arranged to be parallel to each other, and the conveyor means conveys the original to cause the original to pass through a space enclosed with the first board and the second board. An inlet is formed in a lower part of a space enclosed with the first board and the second board, and an outlet is formed in an upper part of the space. The conveyor conveys the original while keeping the original parallel to the first or second board. The original is translucent.

Film holder and image reading apparatus

A lens barrel includes of a first housing half and a second housing half. The first housing half is arranged to house a first member, and the second housing half is arranged to house a second member. A housing is formed by joining the first housing half and the second housing half to each other at a first boundary plane which includes an optical axis or a second boundary plane which is adjacent to the first boundary plane. A lens barrel includes a housing divided into a first housing half and a second housing half by a first boundary plane which includes an optical axis or by a second boundary plane which is adjacent to the first plane, an optical element housed in the first housing half, and a driving part housed in the second housing half. The first housing half and the second housing half are put together at the first boundary plane or the second boundary plane after the optical element and the driving part are housed.
