A yoke is substantially cylindrical and has an opening portion. A brush holder member is secured to the opening portion of the yoke. The brush holder member retains a pair of supply brushes. A housing member is secured to the opening portion of the yoke on the outside of the brush holder member and covers the opening portion. A pair of securing pieces is formed integrally with the yoke. The securing pieces secure the brush holder member and the housing member to the yoke.

Motor

A brush device has a brush that slides against an outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical rotor. The brush device includes a base member, a terminal retained by the base member, an electric wire, which connects the brush to the terminal, and a cylindrical brush holder. The brush holder is located on the base member. The brush holder has a holder axis, which extends along the radial direction of the rotor. The brush is accommodated in and retained by the brush holder and is movable along the holder axis. The brush holder has an opening portion, which is formed at the outer portion of the brush holder with respect to the radial direction of the rotor. The opening portion permits the brush to pass along a direction perpendicular to the holder axis.

Brush device

In a motor, there are provided, integral with a motor cover covering the opening of a motor case: arm holding parts for holding brush arms; a PTC holding part for holding a PTC such that the side thereof is in contact with the brush arm; a first hole into which a connecting wire body, which serves as an external circuit terminal, is inserted so as to come into contact with a connecting part of the brush arm, the connecting part of the brush arm touching a hypothetical curved surface extending from the inner wall of the first hole; and a second hole into which a connecting wire body, which serves as an external circuit terminal, is inserted so as to come into contact with the side of the PTC, the side of the PTC touching a hypothetical curved surface extending from the inner wall of the second hole.
