A metal annular gasket comprising an annular metal base plate; a compound layer integrally laminated on both surfaces of the annular metal base plate, the compound layer being made of synthetic resin or a rubber material mixed with a fiber material; and an annular seal layer having a circumferential covering portion which covers the inner circumferential edge of the annular metal plate and the inner circumferential edge of both compound layers, the compound layer being made of synthetic resin or a rubber material. The annular seal layer is formed such that the surface of the annular seal layer is so connected to the surfaces of the compound layer as to provide smooth transition in its thickness direction.

Metalannular gasket

An annular elastic gasket adapted to be disposed between an insertion hole formed in a housing and a cylindrical body which is inserted into the housing via the insertion hole in such a manner that the annular elastic gasket elastically contacts an inner surface of the insertion hole and an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body. The annular elastic gasket comprises a hollow cylindrical gasket base body comprised of a molded body made of an elastic material, to be compressedly fitted and retained in the insertion hole, an annular seal lip portion extending in the centripetal direction from the gasket base body and an elastic extending portion which constitutes an extending base portion at an end of a tip side portion of the annular seal lip portion, being bent in such a manner that the end directs in the centripetal direction. The elastic extending portion elastically expands in the diametrical direction together with the tip side portion when the cylindrical body is inserted into the insertion hole, thereby the elastic extending portion elastically contacts the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body while maintaining elastic restoring force in the contracting direction.

Annular elastic gasket

A gasket embedding an ion sensorused for sealing a cylinder head to a cylinder block of an engine which is intervened under pressure between the cylinder head and the cylinder block, the gasket having a detection function of the condition in a combustion chamber. The gasket comprises a metal sheet in which a bore seal is formed at a ring-like bead structure and of an insulation seal layer coating at least the upper surface and the lower surface of the metal sheet so as to include the bead structure. An ionic current detection electrode is formed so as to project into the combustion chamber from the insulation seal layer and further a lug projecting outside from the periphery of the insulation seal layer is served as an ionic current introduction electrode of the sensor.

Gasket embedding an ion sensor

A multifunctional gasket intervened between two objects including a space to be sealed comprises a conductive metal base plate layer, an insulation layer integrally laminated at the upper and lower surfaces of the conductive metal base plate layer, and a microseal coating layer coated on the outer surface of the insulation layer. An annular bead structure is formed around an opening corresponding to the space, and when the gasket is intervened between the two objects to be integrated, one end of the conductive metal base plate layer faces the inside of the space and the other end thereof is exposed outside.

Multifunctional gasket

A cylinder head gasket adapted for being mounted on an internal combustion engine, and comprises an elastic metal sheet ( ) having more than one combustion chamber opening and more than one passage hole, including a bead formed in the area surrounding the combustion chamber opening and a bead formed in the area surrounding the passage hole, wherein a sealing material is coated on the front or rear side, or both, of the elastic metal sheet ( ). Specifically, the sealing material includes a thermally resistant sealing material ( ) and a water/oil resistant sealing material ( ), wherein the thermally resistant sealing material ( ) may be coated on the front or rear side, or both, of the bead ( ) formed in the area surrounding the combustion chamber opening ( ), and the water/oil resistant sealing material ( ) may be coated on the front or rear side, or both, of the bead ( ) formed in the area surrounding the passage hole ( ).

Cylinder head gasket

Provided are a carrier having at least one passing-through channel used for a catalyst for producing unsaturated esters, and a catalyst for producing unsaturated esters comprising an element belonging to Group VIII of the periodic table or compounds thereof carried on said carrier and a process for producing unsaturated esters characterized by the use of said catalyst. The use of the above catalyst markedly increase the space time yield of the obtained unsaturated esters.

Carrier, catalyst and process for producing unsaturated ester

An improved process for continuously producing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing 20 to 50 mole % of ethylene is provided. An aliphatic alcohol solvent is employed in the polymerization vessel. Ethylene vapor discharged from the polymerization vessel is introduced into the tubes of the lower part of a multi-tubular heat exchanger. Vinyl acetate is introduced into the upper part of the heat exchanger and caused to flow through said tubes, thereby effecting absorption and solubilization of ethylene into the vinyl acetate. The solubilized ethylene and vinyl acetate is passed to the polymerization vessel. The process of this invention permits the stable production of the copolymer over a long period of time.

Process for continuous production of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer

A saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer composition, improved in behavior in the molten state, which comprises: a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, with an ethylene content of 20-80 mole percent and a saponification degree of at least 85 percent, and 0.00005 to 0.005 percent by weight, based on said copolymer, of manganese, copper or mixtures thereof; said composition, when extracted with pure water, giving an acidic extract, is disclosed, along with a method of making the same.
