A corrosion resistant part comprises an aluminum alloy part main body, an alumite layer disposed on the part main body, and a corrosion resistant layer disposed on the alumite layer. The part main body has a normal portion and a flawed portion so that the alumite layer comprises a normal portion alumite layer formed on the normal portion and a flawed portion alumite layer formed on the flawed portion, and the corrosion resistant layer comprises a normal portion corrosion resistant layer formed on the normal portion and a flawed portion corrosion resistant layer formed on the flawed portion. The normal portion alumite layer has a thickness between approximately 0.5 microns and approximately 5.0 microns. The corrosion resistant layer is formed from an ionic resin and has a thickness less than or equal to approximately 5 microns.

Corrosion resistant part

A hydraulic system for controlling a mower unit through a raising and lowering mechanism. This system includes a hydraulic cylinder connected to the raising and lowering mechanism, a control lever for controlling the mower unit, and a valve unit including a main control valve, an auxiliary control valve and a throttle valve connected in series between a hydraulic pressure source and the hydraulic cylinder. In response to operation of the control lever, the valve unit selectively produces a raising state for supplying pressure oil to the hydraulic cylinder to raise the mower unit, a lowering state for draining pressure oil from the hydraulic cylinder to lower the mower unit by gravity, a neutral state for stopping supply and drainage of pressure oil to/from the hydraulic cylinder to maintain mower unit still, and a half floating state for supplying pressure oil to the hydraulic cylinder and draining pressure oil from the hydraulic cylinder through the throttle valve to apply to the mower unit a raising force less than a gravitational lowering force. The auxiliary control valve is controllable in response to movement of the main control valve, to produce the half floating state when the control lever moves from a lowering position to a neutral position.

A work vehicle is constructed such that engine-cooling fresh ambient air is introduced from a driver's deck and then the used air after cooling is discharged forwardly of the vehicle body. The work vehicle includes an engine hood vertically pivotable about a pivot axis provided at a front portion of a vehicle body, the hood including an air outlet opening for discharging the used air after cooling, a control panel forming a rear wall of an engine room, the control panel including an air intake opening for introducing the ambient air and an instrument panel. This instrument panel is formed integrally with an upper and rear end portion of the engine hood, so that the instrument panel may be pivotably opened upwards together with the control panel.

Work vehicle

A vehicle including a change speed device having an output shaft for outputting drive from an engine in varied speeds, and a differential having a drive pinion shaft for receiving output of the change speed device. The output shaft of the change speed device extends substantially horizontally, while the drive pinion shaft of the differential extends substantially vertically. A bevel gear mechanism transmits drive between the output shaft of the change speed device and the drive pinion shaft of the differential. The drive pinion shaft defines a pinion meshed with a ring gear of the differential in a top region of the differential. The drive pinion shaft has a brake for braking the vehicle. The brake includes a brake drum attached to the drive pinion shaft, and a brake shoe for engaging the brake drum.

A clutch mechanism having a drive shaft operatively connected to a drive section of a working vehicle, and a driven shaft connected to a working implement such as a mower unit. The clutch mechanism includes a clutch mounted on the drive shaft to be operable between an ON state to transmit drive from the drive shaft to the driven shaft, and an OFF state to break drive transmission; a transmission shaft connected to the clutch; and a shift device connected to the clutch to be shiftable between a first position corresponding to the ON state of the clutch and a second position corresponding to the OFF state of the clutch. The shift device has a clutch control device shiftable to control the clutch, and a first helical gear axially movably mounted on the transmission shaft. The clutch mechanism further includes a second helical gear rotatable with the driven shaft and meshed with the first helical gear, and a brake for applying a braking force to the shift device when the shift device is in the second position. The first and second helical gears are shaped such that the second helical gear applies a reaction to the first helical gear to push the first helical gear toward the first position when the clutch is in the ON state to transmit the drive from the drive shaft to the driven shaft, and the second helical gear applies a force to the first helical gear to push the first helical gear toward the second position when the clutch is in the OFF state and a force is transmitted from the driven shaft.

A steering platform includes a main floor supported by a body framework extending longitudinally of a vehicle, and footrests extending from the main floor laterally outwardly of the framework. A brake pedal and a shift pedal are arranged on the footrests. The framework in a steering platform region supports cross shafts extending transversely through the framework. These shafts include a brake control shaft for pivotally supporting a brake lever, and a shaft for driving a raising and lowering link mechanism of a grass cutting unit. The cross shafts include outward extensions for supporting the footrests through brackets, respectively.

A four wheel steering tractor comprising a grass cutting system vertically movably mounted in a lower space of the tractor between front and rear wheels. The grass cutting system carries gauge wheels disposed at opposite lateral sides in rear regions thereof. An interlocking structure between a steering wheel and the front and rear wheels includes a front drag link extending from a pitman arm toward the left (or right) front wheel, and a rear drag link extending from the pitman arm toward the right (or left) rear wheel. This interlocking structure places the center of tractor turning approximately on a straight line extending through the gauge wheels and adjacent one of the gauge wheels.

A power transmission system for a tractor comprising a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic motor to be driven by the oil forced out from the pump, a PTO transmission mechanism coupled to the shaft of the hydraulic pump and a wheel transmission mechanism coupled to the output shaft of the hydraulic motor. The power from an engine is transmitted to the PTO transmission mechanism by way of the pump shaft before being delivered to the wheel transmission mechanism.
