A heat treatment vessel coupler for coupling together heat treatment vessels adjacent in a horizontal direction, of a plurality of rectangular box-shaped heat treatment vessels each loaded with a material to be treated, conveyed in a conveying direction on a plurality of rotationally driven conveyor rollers arranged in parallel inside a heat treatment furnace, the coupler comprises a plate body smaller than each of the heat treatment vessels, at least a pair of engagement protrusions each projecting from the plate body and engaging with a corresponding one of side walls of the heat treatment vessels, and a spacer protrusion projecting from the plate body between the at least a pair of engagement protrusions so as to be sandwiched between the heat treatment vessels with which the at least a pair of engagement protrusions engage respectively.

An object of the present invention is to make a housing for a ceiling-mounted type air conditioner small-sized without decreasing the performance and capacity of the air conditioner, and particularly to decrease the length of the housing in the depth direction, thereby facilitating the installation of the air conditioner and improving the room appearance. To achieve the above object, a heat exchanger is bent into a doglegged shape, the bent portion thereof is convex to the air inlet side, and the heat exchanger is inclined so as to be raised on the air inlet side. A cross flow fan rotating around a horizontal axis is disposed on the downstream side of the heat exchanger.

The present invention discloses a stacked heat exchanger in which separate flow paths 54 and 55 which are formed by corrugated inner fins 52 and 53 are disposed in chambers 48 and 49 of a flat tube 41, and also separate U-shaped flow paths 56 are formed at the U-turn portion 50 to make the flow of refrigerant smooth, increase the area of flow paths, and eliminate the stagnation of refrigerant at the U-turn portion 50. The separation of refrigerant into two phases of gas and liquid due to centrifugal forces at the U-turn portion 50 is limited to the inside of each divided U-shaped flow path 56, thereby the distribution of the gas and liquid phases can be decreased. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing a stacked heat exchanger, in which the reliability of flat tube 41 is improved, and the leakage of refrigerant is prevented.
