It is aimed to provide a connection structure for flexible printed board and a method for manufacturing a flexible printed board unit, which are hardly affected by dimensional tolerances between adjacent contacts and capable of preventing a size increase. A flexible printed board includes a first constituent portion having a plurality of first contacts arrayed along a lateral direction provided on a front surface and a second constituent portion disposed side by side with the first constituent portion in a front-rear direction and having a plurality of second contacts arrayed along the lateral direction provided on a front surface. A supporting portion supports the flexible printed board in a folded state such that a back surface of the first constituent portion and a back surface of the second constituent portion face each other. The first contacts and the second contacts are arranged in a staggered manner along the lateral direction.

Connection structure for flexible printed board and method for manufacturing flexible printed board unit

It is aimed to prevent the damage of terminal fittings. A connector device (A) is provided with a case formed with an opening portion in a front surface and having an open lower surface, and a board connector including L-shaped terminal fittings and a housing to be mounted into the opening portion. The terminal fitting includes a penetrating portion extending in a front-rear direction and a board connecting portion extending downward from a rear end of the penetrating portion and to be accommodated into the case. The housing includes a terminal holding member for holding the penetrating portions penetrating therethrough, the terminal holding member being mounted into the opening portion from behind, and a protecting member separate from the terminal holding member, the protecting member surrounding front end parts of the penetrating portions by being mounted into the opening portion from front.

Connector device having case and board connector

It is aimed to provide a connector capable of ensuring connection reliability with a circuit board. A connector includes a housing and a terminal fitting to be disposed in the housing. The terminal fitting includes a terminal connecting portion to be connected to a mating terminal fitting, a board connecting portion to be connected to a circuit board and a shaft portion located between the terminal connecting portion and the board connecting portion. The housing includes a supporting portion for rotatably supporting the terminal fitting by being engaged with the shaft portion. The terminal fitting has a center of gravity on a side closer to the board connecting portion than the shaft portion.

Connector capable of ensuring connection reliability with a circuit board

A connector includes a terminal fitting and an upper housing and a lower housing slidable in a direction orthogonal to an overlapping direction while being overlapped to sandwich the terminal fitting. A resilient lock piece cantilevered in the overlapping direction with respect to the lower housing is formed on a side edge part of the upper housing. A lock projection to be locked by the resilient lock piece when the both housings are overlapped is formed on a side surface of the lower housing. A stopper for locking the resilient lock piece when the both housings are slid is formed on the side surface of the lower housing. The stopper is disposed at a position further separated from a base end portion of the resilient lock piece than the lock projection.

Connector including a pair of housing members

A connector includes a terminal connected to a front end portion of an electric wire and a housing in which the terminal is arranged. The housing includes a base portion and cover members. The electric wire extending rearward from a portion of the housing that has the terminal therein is disposed on the base portion. The cover members that are movable between a position in which the cover members cover the base portion and a position in which the cover members are away from the base portion. The cover members include a wire pressing portion that presses the electric wire disposed on the base portion toward the base portion when the cover members are in the position in which the cover members cover the base portion.

Connector

It is aimed to provide a connector and a connector mounting body capable of ensuring good workability at the time of manufacturing and connection reliability with a circuit board. A connector includes a connector housing and a flexible cable arranged in the connector housing and including conductive paths. The flexible cable includes terminal connecting portions to be connected to mating terminals on one end sides of the conductive paths and board connecting portions to be connected to a circuit board on the other end sides of the conductive paths. The connector includes a reinforcement plate for reinforcing a region of the flexible cable on the side of the terminal connecting portions.

Connector and connector mounting body

It is aimed to provide a connector capable of properly exhibiting functions of a detection piece. A connector is provided with a housing () including a cavity (), a terminal fitting () to be inserted into the cavity () from behind and including a tubular box portion () having open front and rear surfaces, a tab () of a mating terminal fitting () being inserted into the box portion () from front, and a retainer () to be mounted into the housing () and including a detection piece () capable of coming into contact with a rear end of the box portion (). The detection piece () includes a recess () for avoiding interference with the tab () passed through the box portion ().

Connector with retainer

A waterproof connector (A) includes a housing (), a sealing member () including a ring-shaped seal functioning portion () to be fit externally on the housing () and sandwiched portions (L,S) projecting along an outer peripheral surface of the housing () from the seal functioning portion (), and a holding memberfor resiliently sandwiching the sandwiched portions (L,S) between the outer peripheral surface of the housing () and the holding member () by being mounted on the housing (). Since the sandwiched portions (L,S) of the sealing member () are resiliently squeezed and sandwiched between the outer periphery of the housing () and the holding member (), there is no possibility that the sealing member () is positionally deviated from the housing () in a circumferential direction.

Waterproof connector

A board connector () includes a housing (), fixing members () and a shield member (). The housing () holds a terminal fitting (). The fixing member () includes a housing fixing portion () to be fixed to the housing () and a board fixing portion () to be fixed to a circuit board () while being electrically connected to the circuit board (). The shield member () includes mounting portions () to be mounted on the housing () and covering portions () for covering outer side surfaces of the fixing members () in a mounting direction of the mounting portions (), and the covering portions () include contact portions () configured to come into contact with the outer side surfaces of the fixing members ().

Board connector

A terminal-equipped wire configured by crimping a pair of barrel pieces provided on a terminal to an external sheath of a wire, the external sheath being provided on an outer circumferential surface of a core wire. The pair of barrel pieces are wrapped around the external sheath into a polygonal tube shape that has a plurality of corner portions in a circumferential direction of the external sheath, leading end edges of the pair of barrel pieces are arranged on opposite sides of at least one corner portion out of the plurality of corner portions.

Terminal-equipped wire

A lattice () is provided on a rear surface of a connector main body () and defines a plurality of insertion openings (). The lattice () includes first and second walls () extending parallel to each other in the same direction and third walls () intersecting the first and second walls (,). Rear ends of the first, second and third walls () are located more backward in the order of the second walls (), the third walls () and the first walls (). The first walls () provide identification from the surrounding by projecting more backward than the second walls (). The third walls () achieve an improved resin flow by alleviating steps between the first and second walls ().

An auxiliary housing () inserted into a frame () is locked in a retained state by the locking action of resiliently deformable lock arms () and locks (). The lock arms () and the locks () include locking surfaces () that are substantially normal to an inserting direction of the auxiliary housing () and come into contact with each other with the lock arms () and the locks () engaged in an insertion process of the auxiliary housing (). When an inserting force exceeding a locking force of the locking surfaces () is applied to the auxiliary housing (), the lock arms () are resiliently deformed to disengage the locking surfaces ().

Split connector

A housing () is formed with pairs of projections (A,B) at opposite sides in a width direction perpendicular to a connecting direction and supporting shafts () located between the projections (A,B) at the opposite widthwise sides and behind the projections (A,B) in the connecting direction and adapted to rotatably support a lever (). The lever () is formed with stoppers for preventing a rotation of the lever () by being engaged with the projections (A) on one widthwise side at a connection start position. Further, the lever () is formed with pressing portions () for correcting a connection posture of the housing () by pressing the projections (B) on the other widthwise side in the connecting direction when the housing () is inclined from a proper connection posture with respect to a mating housing () in a process reaching a connection position.

Lever-type connector

If connection postures of a first and a second housings () are inclined from proper ones at a final stage of a connecting process of the first and second housings () pressing portions () of a lever () press pressable portions () of the first housing () to correct the connection postures of the first and second housings (). A mutual connection force of the first and second housings () reaches a maximum value when an operable portion () of the lever () is located at a position near the rear surface of a cover () or overlapping the rear surface of the cover () before the pressing portions () press the pressable portions () in the connecting process of the first and second housings ().

A connector member is formed with first slides (F,R) and first locks (). A cover () is formed with second slides (F,R) and second locks (). The cover () is mounted on the connector member slidably between a standby position and a mount position. The first and second slides (F,R) and (F,R) slide on each other to guide a sliding movement of the cover () from the standby position to the mount position. At the mount position, the first and second locks () engage to prevent a returning movement of the cover () to the standby position. The connector member is formed with guide paths () for positioning and guiding the cover () to the standby position.
