A seat apparatus for a vehicle, which includes an inner slide rail, an outer slide rail including an outer upper rail and an outer lower rail, a seat cushion provided slidably in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and configured to be flipped up to a wall portion of the vehicle compartment to be in a storage position, a hinge mechanism fixing the outer upper rail to the seat cushion, a bearing smoothly sliding the outer upper rail relative to the outer lower rail, a spring provided around a rotational shaft of the hinge mechanism for biasing the seat cushion in a direction to be flipped up, and at least one rotating member provided between the outer upper rail and the outer lower rail so as to receive a load in a lateral direction of the vehicle applied to the outer upper rail by the spring.

A seat reclining apparatus for a vehicle includes first, second, and third gear mechanisms, each gear mechanism including a first frame having an internal gear and a second frame having an external gear engaging with the internal gear, the number of teeth of the external gear being fewer than the internal gear, wherein the first gear mechanism is provided at one side of a vehicle seat, and the second and third gear mechanisms are provided at the other side, a shaft connecting the first gear mechanism with the second and third gear mechanisms, and an electric motor rotating the shaft to shift an engagement position between the internal gear and the external gear for tilting the seatback relative to the seat cushion, wherein the electric motor is disposed at one of the first frame and the second frame of the first gear mechanism provided at the one side.

A vehicle seat apparatus includes a lower arm, an upper arm being rotatable relative to the lower arm in a front-rear direction of a vehicle seat, a pressing member fixed at the upper arm, a base member fixed at the lower arm, a first link supported by the base member so as to be rotatable and having a stopper pin positioned on a rotation path of the pressing member when a walk-in operation is performed and positioned out of the rotation path of the pressing member when a tilt-down operation is performed; and a second link rotatably supported by the first link and maintaining the stopper pin so as to be one of on and out of the rotation path of the pressing member, the second link being provided in a manner where a rotational axis thereof is coaxial to a central axis of the stopper pin.

A sunshade for a vehicle sunroof is structured to have a base member for shielding sunlight from striking the inside of the vehicle through an opening formed in the vehicle body when the sunshade is closed, which is housed within a housing space formed adjacent to the opening when the sunshade is opened, and an edge member integrally provided with a handle, which has a shield integrally mounted on the advancing-side end portion of the base member to shield the advancing-side terminal portion from the view of the vehicle occupant. This construction of the sunshade improves the productivity and reduces the cost of the sunshade.

A sun-roof housing comprises a main body formed into a U-shaped configuration with two corners and having a first gutter portion therealong and pair of laterally spaced rail portions for guiding a roof member, a cut-out portion formed at each of the corner by which the first gutter portion is divided into discontinuous segments, and a cover having a second gutter portion defined by an inner side wall and an outer side wall and set to be fixed to each corner of the main body in such a manner that the second gutter portion is located in the cut-out portion so as to be in fluid communication with the separated segments and the inner side wall is in fluid tight engagement with each corner of the main body.

A guide rail device of a sun-roof comprises a guide rail portion formed into a U-shaped configuration and including a first lengthwise portion, a second lengthwise portion which is in parallel therewith, a connecting portion provided between each of ends of the first and second lengthwise portions so as to be perpendicular thereto, a first corner for the connection of both the first lengthwise portion and the connecting portion, and a second corner for the connection of both the second lengthwise portion and the connecting portion, a pair of continuous guide groove device formed in the guide rail portions for guiding shoe device on which a roof panel is mounted, and an upstanding wall provided at each corner in such a manner that the wall is outside of the sliding range of each of shoes which are moved by the cables.
