A central conductor assembly for a non-reciprocal circuit device, at least a first central conductor constituting a first inductance element and a second central conductor constituting a second inductance element being integrally formed in a laminate comprising pluralities of magnetic layers, the first central conductor being formed by series-connecting first and second lines formed on a first main surface of the laminate to third lines formed in the laminate through via-holes, and the second central conductor being formed on the first main surface of the laminate such that it extends between the first and second lines and crosses the third lines via a magnetic layer.

Non-reciprocal circuit device and its central conductor assembly

A resin casing for use in a non-reciprocal circuit device comprising an assembly of a ferrimagnetic body and a plurality of central conductors enclosing it, and a plurality of elongated flat capacitors connected to ends of the central conductors; the resin casing being constituted by a thin conductor plate having a substantially flat bottom portion and a resin frame injection-molded integrally with the thin conductor plate; the resin frame comprising sidewalls, and partition walls provided inside the sidewalls for defining a plurality of recesses for receiving the flat capacitors, a pair of opposing sidewalls being provided with external terminals constituted by the thin conductor plate; any bottoms of a plurality of the recesses being integrally constituted by a substantially flat bottom portion of the thin conductor plate; the recesses being formed such that all flat capacitors received in the recesses are aligned substantially in parallel with sidewalls having external terminals; and the assembly being disposed on the flat capacitors received in the recesses.

Non-reciprocal circuit device and resin casing used therefor

A lumped constant non-reciprocal circuit element such as a circulator or an isolator comprising a set of mutually insulated central conductors, a garnet plate not more than 0.6 mm in thickness, a ceramic substrate having a central bore for accommodating the garnet plate and patterned electrodes formed thereon, and a permanent magnet for applying a DC magnetic field to the garnet plate. Because of this structure, this circuit element is very thin with good insertion loss properties.
