A generator () includes a generator winding () and an excitation winding (), and a field winding (). To converge an output voltage of the generator winding () to a target, a field current is varied by increasing/decreasing an energization duty ratio of a switching device () connected to the field winding (). In a duty ratio zero determination unit () and a duty ratio zero continuation determination unit (), when an output duty ratio continues for a predetermined time with duty ratio zero, a duty ratio increase amount restriction unit () restricts an upper limit of the duty ratio to a predetermined upper limit when the field current increases. A duty ratio restriction unit () for restricting the duty ratio by a maximum value determined based on a voltage of a smoothing capacitor () in place of the determination of the duty ratio being zero may be provided.

Output control apparatus of generator

An excitation winding () and a field winding () are provided. A smoothing capacitor () smoothes a current of the excitation winding () and inputs it to the field winding (). A transistor () is driven to control an output of the generator winding (). A diode () prevents a field current from flowing in a reverse direction. A transistor () connected to the diode () is driven in a phase reverse to a phase of a drive signal of the transistor (). A duty monitordetermines whether a duty ratio of the drive signal of the transistor () is larger than a reference duty ratio, and when the duty monitordetermines that the duty ratio of the drive signal is larger than the reference duty ratio, an unit () extends an output cycle of the drive signal by thinning out the drive signal.

In a capacitor-compensation-type generator having a rotor wound with a field winding, a stator wound with an output winding adapted to cross flux generated by the field winding to output AC power, and an internal combustion engine that drives the rotor to rotate relative to the stator, there are equipped with an actuator that changes the engine speed and an actuator controller that controls operation of the actuator in accordance with a constant voltage operation mode in which the engine speed is controlled to a desired speed such that a detected output voltage becomes a desired voltage, or a constant frequency operation mode in which the detected engine speed is controlled to a predetermined speed such that frequency of AC power outputted from the output winding becomes a desired frequency, thereby enabling to output AC power at constant voltage or frequency.

Capacitor-compensation-type generator

The present invention provides an engine-driven synchronous power generator that selects the operation state with respect to the load of the power generator by controlling the revolution. The electronic governorincludes a target revolution determining unitincluding a storagefor providing a constant target engine revolution irrespective of the load current, and a mapfor providing the target engine revolution corresponding to the load. Output voltage controller of engine-driven generator

The present invention provides a control power supply capable of stably operating to output a desired voltage as electric power, even when the input voltage thereof varies over a wide range. A power supply includes a rectification circuitfor rectifying the AC output from a power generatorand a non-insulation type DC/DC converterfor stepping down the DC output from the rectification circuit. A self-excited oscillation type converter (RCC)is provided at the following stage of the non-insulation type DC/DC converter. The input voltage which has been stepped down by the converteris input to the primary side of the RCC, and the RCCstably operates with the input voltage which varies largely to supply, from its secondary side, a power supply to an ECUor the like.

Self exited oscillation converter providing a stable output voltage from a wide range of input voltages

An output voltage regulator for an engine-driven generator that can satisfactory suppress fluctuation in output voltage, even when an output waveform of the generator is distorted. An engine revolution period that represents a period of output voltage is detected by use of an ignition signal. Data that represents an output waveform is obtained by squaring and adding up an instantaneous value of the output voltage for one period of engine revolution. Furthermore, a square root of the data is extracted as an effective value. An operation duty of a transistor Qprovided in an output circuit of an excitation winding Lthat supplies a field current 'if' is determined based on a difference between the effective value and a target voltage. The field current 'if' changes according to the difference, and the output voltage is thereby regulated according to a load.

Output voltage regulator for engine-driven generator

A choke valve is controlled finely suited to the running state of an engine. A throttle valveand a choke valveare provided in series on an intake pipe, and the opening degree of the choke valveis controlled by a stepping motorA choke valve opening degree upon start of engine (start opening degree) and a driving pulse rate of a stepping motorare determined depending on the engine temperature. When lower than the engine temperature TL, the pulse rate is set at first rate, or the lowest rate in a specified range. Depending on the engine temperature, the pulse rate is set higher gradually up to second rate TH. When releasing the choke gradually in warm-up operation, the pulse rate is lowered so as to obtain a choke opening degree of high precision by a high torque.

Automatic choke

The choke valve opening degree upon start of engine (start opening degree) is determined depending on the engine temperature. The stepping motoris initialized at the fully closed side of the choke valvewhen the power source for starting the engine is turned on. The start opening degree of the choke valve is judged to be closer to the fully closed side or fully opened side, and the stepping motoris initialized at the fully closed side if judged to be close to the fully closed side, and at the fully opened side if at the fully opened side.

It is an object of the invention to provide the operability of an engine power generator having a remote controller. A starting switchof a remote controllerand a starting switch on a power generator body's side can be operated in parallel. A stopping switchof the remote controllerand a stopping switch on the body's side can be operated in parallel. The stopping switchand an oil level switchare connected to each other in parallel. The starting switchand the stopping switchcan be operated when a combination switchis in ON position. An enginecan be started and stopped by switching operation on the body's side in parallel to remote control operation.

Control apparatus of engine operated machine

After choke release, a driving signal in a specified number of steps is issued periodically.

An N-channel MOS transistor is used to configure a DC&#x2014;DC converter having good characteristics without providing a particular voltage circuit which outputs a voltage higher than an input voltage. An N-channel MOS transistorand a choke coilare connected in series between a negative side of a direct-current power supply and a negative side of the output capacitor. A PWM circuitapplies pulse signals to a gate of the MOS transistorbased on the input voltage divided by the capacitorsand. The pulse signal of the PWM circuitis formed by the voltage corresponding to the output voltage of the output capacitor, and the pulse signal is inputted to the gate of the N-channel MOS transistorthrough a photocoupler

Step-down DC&#x2014;DC converter

A fault on the generator can be detected with the use of a simple arrangement. The output of the generator which has multi-phase winding and is driven by an engine is rectified and then converted by an inverter into an alternating current at the frequency of a system before interconnected to the source of the system. After the engine is started, the direct current voltage Vdc is monitored with a first fault monitor . When the direct current voltage Vdc rises up to a predetermined level, a connector relay is closed. As the output of the inverter is increased, the interconnection with the system source is enabled. After the interconnection, the direct current voltage and the output of the inverter are monitored with a second fault monitor . If the direct current voltage drops down to below the predetermined level before the output of the inverter reaches a rated level, the canceling and re-interconnection is repeated. Then, when the direct current voltage remains below the predetermined level after the re-interconnection, it is judged that the generator has a fault such as a line breakage in the windings disconnection.

Connection to grid type engine generator apparatus

A grid-type engine generator apparatus which can prevent reduction in the operational efficiency due to the stop motion of an engine at the cancellation of the interconnection and minimize loads exerted on the startup device for the engine. A network protector is provided for generating a fault signal when detecting a fault on the network source. Upon receiving the fault signal, an interconnection relay is opened to cancel the interconnection and simultaneously, a timer is started. The cancellation permits the engine to run with no load. When the fault signal is maintained until the setting duration of the timer is timed up, a time-out signal is released to stop the engine. On the other hand, when the fault signal is eliminated by canceling the cause of the fault before the setting duration of the timer is passed, the interconnection relay is closed to establish the interconnection again and the timer is reset.

Grid-type engine generator apparatus for connecting an output of an engine-driven generator to a power network

In a steering control system for a moving body in which azimuths of reference points are detected by rotatively scanning a light beam around the moving body, a current position of the moving body is calculated based on the azimuths of reference points, and the moving body is steered so that the current position thereof follows a predetermined travelling course that is calculated in accordance with an algorithm previously stored in a memory. The system assigns each detected reference point to each reference point in said algorithm for calculating the relative traveling course, based on one of a reference point that is detected first under the condition that the azimuth exceeds a first predetermined angle, and a reference point that is detected last with the azimuth being less than a second predetermined angle when the azimuth is measured with respect to the advance direction of the moving vehicle initially placed in the traveling area before the start of a work. A traveling course is set according to said algorithm using the positional information on the assigned reference points.
