A liquid discharge apparatus to apply liquid to an application surface includes a head and processing circuitry. The head applies the liquid discharged from a nozzle to the application surface. The processing circuitry outputs abnormal discharge information of the nozzle. The abnormal discharge information is detected based on a shape of the liquid applied to the application surface.

An extended operation device mountable to and demountable from an apparatus body includes an extended operation device body, an operation device, and a pair of insertion portions. The pair of insertion portions extend in a first direction parallel to an operation surface of the operation device with respect to the extended operation device body. One insertion portion and the other insertion portion of the pair of insertion portions are provided on one side and the other side, respectively, of the extended operation device body with respect to a central position of the extended operation device body in a second direction that is parallel to the operation surface of the operation device and intersects the first direction. The pair of insertion portions are inserted into a pair of insertion holes provided in the apparatus body to mount the extended operation device to the apparatus body.

Extended operation device and image forming apparatus

A direct-current circuit breaker includes a circuit breaker unit and a circuit unit that generates an oscillating current. The circuit unit includes a capacitor and a reactor, a high-speed closer, and a lightning arrester. The circuit breaker unit and the high-speed closer are aligned in a first direction with a distance therebetween that is equal to or longer than a certain spatial distance. The capacitor and the lightning arrester are aligned in a second direction intersecting the first direction with a distance therebetween that is equal to or longer than the spatial distance. A combination of the circuit breaker unit with the high-speed closer and a combination of the capacitor with the lightning arrester are aligned in a third direction intersecting the first direction and the second direction with a distance therebetween that is equal to or longer than the spatial distance.

Direct-current circuit breaker

A direct-current circuit breaker includes a first main circuit breaker inserted into a first direct-current line, a resonance circuit connected in parallel to the first main circuit breaker, a MOSA connected in parallel to the first main circuit breaker via the resonance circuit, a second main circuit breaker inserted into a second direct-current line, a switch connected in series to the second main circuit breaker, a resonance circuit connected in parallel to the second main circuit breaker, and a MOSA connected in parallel to the second main circuit breaker via the resonance circuit. The second direct-current line is a line that branches off from the first direct-current line and returns to the first direct-current line. The switch is inserted upstream of the second direct-current line.

A direct-current breaking device includes a main circuit breaker inserted on a DC line, a resonant circuit connected in parallel with the main circuit breaker, and a MOSA connected in parallel with the main circuit breaker via the resonant circuit. The resonant circuit includes first, second, third, and fourth switching elements, a capacitor, and a reactor. A first circuit unit including the first switching element and the second switching element connected in series with each other, and a second circuit unit including the third switching element and the fourth switching element connected in series with each other are connected in parallel. The capacitor is connected between a connection point of the first switching element and the second switching element and a connection point of the third switching element and the fourth switching element to constitute a bridge circuit. The bridge circuit and the reactor are in series with each other.

Direct-current breaking device

A DC circuit breaker includes a fuse unit to interrupt a large current with a fuse, and the fuse unit includes a high-speed disconnector that is connected in parallel to the fuse and is opened when a fault current is detected.

DC circuit breaker

A direct-current circuit includes: a breaker that is inserted into the direct-current line and becomes a path for direct current when in a steady state; a resonance circuit connected in parallel with the breaker and superimposing resonance current on the direct current; and a first disconnector and a second disconnector connected to first and second connection points of the breaker and the resonance circuit, respectively, and forming a path for the direct current together with the breaker. The resonance circuit includes a series circuit that includes a capacitor and a reactor and generates the resonance current, a charging resistor for charging the capacitor with a direct-current potential of the direct-current line, a high-speed switch connected in series with the series circuit on the capacitor side and superimposing the resonance current on the direct current, and an arrester connected in parallel with the capacitor and the high-speed switch.

A wind power generation system according to the present invention includes: a DC bus; a plurality of feeders connected to the DC bus for transmitting DC powers to the DC bus; a plurality of wind power generators; a plurality of AC/DC converters connected one by one to each of the wind power generators for converting AC powers generated by the connected wind power generators, into DC powers, and outputting the DC powers to the feeders; and a DC breaker and a diode, which serve as a current limiting unit installed on each of the feeders for preventing a DC current from flowing from the DC bus into the feeder.

Wind power generation system and DC power transmission system

An AC circuit breaker is provided between an AC system and an AC-DC converter, and a DC circuit breaker is provided between a DC line and the AC-DC converter. A bypass switch capable of short-circuiting a converter cell included in the AC-DC converter is connected to the AC-DC converter. At the time of a fault in the DC line, the bypass switch is turned on to interrupt the supply of DC power from the AC system to the DC line.

A direct-current circuit breaker includes a switching unit inserted in the direct-current line; and a commutation circuit that includes a series circuit including a first current-limiting element and an interrupting unit that forms a current zero point by superimposing a resonance current on a direct current flowing in the direct-current line and interrupts the direct current at the current zero point, that is connected in parallel with the switching unit, and that becomes a flow path for the direct current after the switching unit is opened, wherein current interruption is performed by the interrupting unit after the switching unit is opened.

An inrush current suppressing device includes a residual-magnetic-flux calculating unit configured to retain an interruption characteristic of a breaker and an attenuation characteristic of a magnetic flux that are estimated by measurement, analysis, or the like beforehand, and apply the attenuation characteristic to a magnetic flux value at the time of current interruption obtained based on the interruption characteristic of the breaker to calculate a residual magnetic flux value. The breaker is turned on in a power supply voltage phase in which the calculated residual magnetic flux value and a theoretical value of a steady magnetic flux match.

Inrush current suppressing device

An inrush-current suppressing device includes: a residual-magnetic-flux calculating unit that calculates a residual magnetic flux in a reference phase of a three-phase transformer while assuming a maximum magnetic flux level generated at a time of applying a rated voltage as 1 PU based on a measurement result of a transformer-voltage measuring unit before and after opening a three-phase circuit breaker; a stationary-magnetic-flux calculating unit that calculates a stationary magnetic flux in the reference phase of the three-phase transformer with reference to the maximum magnetic flux level obtained as the 1 PU based on a measurement result of a power-supply-voltage measuring unit, in response to a closing command to the three-phase circuit breaker; and a control unit that actuates a switch of the three-phase circuit breaker corresponding to the reference phase at a timing when the stationary magnetic flux and the residual magnetic flux in the reference phase match each other.

Inrush-current suppressing device and inrush-current suppressing method

A phase-control switchgear includes a circuit breaker, a phase difference detection unit, a storage unit, and a circuit breaker control unit. The phase difference detection unit detects a phase difference between voltages of a specific phase (U-phase) of buses to which three-phase generators are respectively connected, at a plurality of time points. The storage unit stores the detected phase differences. When the three-phase generators are out of synchronization, the circuit breaker control unit estimates a breaking time point at which the phase difference between the voltages of the U-phase of the buses will be in the range of not less than &#x2212;80&#xb0; and not more than 80&#xb0;, based on the phase differences at the plurality of time points stored in the storage unit. The circuit breaker control unit opens the circuit breaker to break a current at the estimated breaking time point. This makes it possible to suppress a transient voltage generated between electrodes of the circuit breaker after the current is broken.

A residual magnetic flux measurement apparatus measures residual magnetic fluxes by using a transformer-voltage measurement means for measuring transformer voltages; a voltage delay means for delaying the measured signals; a DC-voltage-component calculation means for calculating DC voltage components from the latest transformer-voltage signals for a predetermined time period based on calculation-control signals; a voltage integration means for calculating voltage-integration signals by performing voltage integration of signals obtained after separating the DC voltage components from present transformer-voltage signals; a magnetic-flux DC-component calculation means for calculating magnetic-flux DC-components from the latest voltage-integration signals for a predetermined time period based on the calculation-control signals; a magnetic flux calculation means for obtaining magnetic flux signals in which the magnetic-flux DC-components are separated from present voltage-integration signals; and a control means for obtaining residual magnetic fluxes based on contact signals, an interruption mode, the transformer-voltage signals, and the magnetic flux signals.

Residual magnetic flux determining apparatus

A residual-magnetic-flux calculating unit includes a voltage-change-rate detecting unit that detects a transformer-voltage change rate from a phase voltage between a breaker and a transformer, a residual-magnetic-flux detecting unit that detects a residual magnetic flux remaining on the transformer based on the phase voltage, and a breaker-switching-state identifying unit that detects a switching state of the breaker. The residual-magnetic-flux calculating unit recalculates the residual magnetic flux based on the transformer-voltage change rate and a predetermined threshold while the breaker is in an open state.
