Provided are a cloth and a protective product, which allow for any color appearance and have excellent protection performance against electric arcs. The cloth has a woven fabric structure, wherein a front-surface spun yarn containing an infrared absorber- and/or electrically conductive agent-containing fiber and not containing carbon is located on a front surface, while a back-surface spun yarn containing a carbon-containing fiber is located on a back surface, and the cloth has an ATPV value of 8.0 cal/cmor more in Arc Resistance Test ASTM F1959-1999.

Cloth and protective product

The invention addresses the problem of providing a cloth, a multilayered cloth, and a textile product, which have flame retardancy and heat insulation and develop a relief structure when exposed to flame or heat. As a means for resolution, a cloth characterized in that a yarn A having a high thermal shrinkage rate and a yarn B having a low thermal shrinkage rate are alternately arranged in the warp direction or weft direction is obtained, then, as necessary, a multilayered cloth is obtained using the cloth as an intermediate layer, and further, as necessary, a textile product is formed using the multilayered cloth.

The invention addresses the problem of providing a cloth and a protective product that have lightweight properties, wearing comfort, and further protection performance against electric arcs. One of the warp and weft of the woven fabric contains a false-twist crimped yarn, and the other contains a non-crimped yarn.

A water-repellent woven fabric having excellent water repellency, which is friendly to the environment, and a garment made of the water-repellent woven fabric are provided. A composite yarn containing a false-twist crimped textured yarn having an S-direction torque and a false-twist crimped textured yarn having a Z-direction torque is arranged for a warp or a weft to obtain a fabric, and a fluorine-based water repellent having a total concentration of perfluorooctanoic acid and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid of 0 to 5 ng/g is then adhered to the woven fabric.

Waterproof moisture-permeable fabric for clothing which includes, on one side of a polyester fabric A, a waterproof moisture-permeable layer B including a colorless transparent polyester film stacked, and a white or gray resin C partially stacked, and clothing including the waterproof moisture-permeable fabric. Preferably, a moisture-permeable polymer resin D containing inorganic fine particles is stacked on the waterproof moisture-permeable layer B, and the white or gray resin C is partially stacked thereon.

Method for producing polyester blended yarn

A polymer of a kind different from a polyester in an amount within the range of 0.3 to 5.0% by weight based on the polyester is added to the polyester, and the resulting composition is melt-extruded from the same pack. The extruded filament group including polyester multi-filaments is cooled once to the glass transition temperature or below, and the filament group is subsequently divided into two groups. One of the filament groups in an opened state is subjected to non-contact heat treatment at an atmospheric temperature of 120&deg; C. or above; however, the other filament group is kept in a state without being subjected to the heat treatment. The respective filament groups are then simultaneously taken off at a speed of 2500 m/min or above and subjected to doubling and mixing of the filaments.
