A video signal coding apparatus includes a coding unit which codes and re-codes a video signal and includes: a coding processing unit which codes, slice-by-slice, a current picture indicated by the video signal, to generate coded data; an integration unit which calculates a code-integrated value indicating a code amount of the coded data; a coding result determination unit which determines that re-coding of the current picture is necessary when determining that the code-integrated value is grater than a threshold; and a re-coding control unit which specifies a slice to be re-coded, based on coding information indicating a feature of the coded data, when it is determined that the re-coding is necessary, and the coding processing unit further re-codes the slice specified by the re-coding control unit.

Video signal coding apparatus and video signal coding method

An image stabilization system includes: a region vector detection unit configured to detect a motion vector of each of a plurality of regions in an image; a reliability determination unit configured to determine reliability of the motion vector of each of the regions; a region indicator configured to indicate, to the region vector detection unit, a new detection target region instead of a region whose motion vector is determined to have low reliability; an image vector computing unit configured to compute a motion vector of the entire image using a motion vector determined to have high reliability; and a stabilization unit configured to move an entire image to be output according to the motion vector of the entire image to compensate for sway of the image.

Image stabilization system

An imaging processing unit signal-processes main picture data outputted from an imaging device. A zoom processing unit subjects the signal-processed main picture data to picture resize processing. A display picture management unit subjects the signal-processed main picture data to resize processing by the zoom processing unit to generate display picture data, aside from the main picture data recorded onto a recording medium at the time of photographing, and temporarily stores the display picture data in a memory area set inside or outside the integrated circuit. A display picture processing unit subjects the main picture data and the display picture data to display processing.

Picture recording device

A CPU reads a system initialization program from a first recording area and stores the read system initialization program to an internal memory, and then reads the system initialization program from the internal memory and executes the system initialization and initialization of a second recording area. A DMA control unit transfers a system control program included in the program from the first recording area to the second recording area without through the CPU. A memory management unit manages a processing state of the transfer of the system control program to the second recording area by the DMA control unit. The CPU reads the program from the second recording area and executes the system control in collaboration with the memory management unit.
