Aqueous dispersion, process for production thereof and coated substances

An aqueous dispersion which is excellent in storage stability, and can form a coating film excellent in leveling properties, anti-checking properties, water resistance, etc., transparent and high in hardness, which is obtained by mixing and emulsifying (A) at least one selected from an organosilane represented by (R ) &mdash;(Si)&mdash;(OR ) , a hydrolysate of the organosilane and a partial condensation product of the hydrolysate, (B) a radical polymerizable monomer, (C) an emulsifier and (D) a hydrolytic catalyst for component (A) to reduce the particle size of an emulsion, as well as to allow hydrolysis of component (A) to proceed, and adding (E) a radical polymerization initiator to allow polymerization of component (B) to proceed, has a concentration of alcohols having a boiling point of 100&deg; C. or less of 0.1 to 2.0 wt %, and further contains (F) a component having ultraviolet absorption and/or light stabilization action as needed.

Aqueous dispersion and coated product

Disclosed are a coating composition comprising a polymer dispersed in an aqueous medium, the polymer containing (a) a hydrolysate of an organosilane and/or a condensation product thereof and (b) a vinyl polymer containing a silyl group having a silicon atom bound to a hydrolytic group and/or a hydroxyl group, and further comprising (c) an oxazoline derivative as a crosslinking agent and a hardened film obtained therefrom. The above coating composition completes the hardening reaction of a coating film at low temperature for a short period of time, high in hardness immediately after hardening, and having water resistance, weather resistance, organic chemical resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, wear resistance and durable adhesion.

Coating composition and hardened film obtained therefrom

A focus state detecting device for a camera has plural areas for focus state detection for an object, and is capable of securing wide focus state detecting areas. An exposure control device for a camera is so structured that the film information recorded on the film or the cartridge is read, the reflection coefficient of the loaded film is determined based on the read film information and the termination of light emission of an electronic flash device or the start of run of a shutter curtain is controlled in accordance with the reflection coefficient so that the proper exposure is always obtained by the light emission control or the shutter control by the TTL direct light detection irrespective of the change of the reflection coefficient of the film.
