Provided are a filter medium for a filter, which makes it possible to obtain a filter high in collection efficiency, low in pressure loss and long in filter lifetime, a method for producing the same, and a filter using the filter medium for a filter. A filter medium for a filter is used as a constituent member of a filter and composed of a wet type nonwoven fabric, wherein the filter medium for a filter has a multilayer structure of two or more layers, and there is no interface between the above-mentioned two layers.

The present invention is a wet type nonwoven fabric that includes two or more kinds of fibers, wherein the wet type nonwoven fabric includes a short fiber A that is constituted of a fiber-forming thermoplastic polymer and has a fiber diameter D of from 100 to 1000 nm and the ratio of a fiber length L to the fiber diameter D, L/D, in the range of from 100 to 2500 in from 4 to 50% by weight relative to the total weight of the nonwoven fabric, and a binder fiber B that has a single fiber fineness of 0.1 dtex or less in from 10 to 50% by weight relative to the total weight of the nonwoven fabric.

The present invention has an object to provide staple fibers suitable for manufacturing a wet-laid nonwoven fabric having excellent adhesive strength and heat resistance at a reduced environmental burden, a manufacturing method of the same, and a nonwoven fabric using the staple fibers. The object can be achieved by polyalkylene terephthalate or polyalkylene naphthalate staple fiber wet nonwoven fabric having excellent adhesive strength and heat resistance that are provided by blending and thermal-compression bonding of low oriented yarn and fully oriented yarn, wherein a specific ratio of biomass-derived carbon, fineness, fiber length, and a weight ratio between fully oriented staple fibers and low oriented staple fibers in the wet-laid nonwoven fabric are used to obtain a fine low oriented yarn having excellent binder performance and a fine fully oriented yarn having an unprecedented level of fineness.

A nonwoven fabric of polyester composite fibers which has a satisfactory color tone (low value of b*). It is formed from short composite fibers obtained from a polyester polymer obtained with the following catalyst and a fusion-bondable polymer. The catalyst comprises: (1) a mixture of a phosphorus compound ingredient comprising a phosphorus compound represented by the formula (III) with a titanium compound ingredient comprising a titanium alkoxide represented by the following formula (I) and/or a product of the reaction of the titanium alkoxide with a carboxylic acid represented by the formula (II) or anhydride thereof; and/or (2) a product of the reaction of a phosphorus compound ingredient comprising a phosphorus compound represented by the formula (V) with a titanium compound ingredient comprising a titanium alkoxide (IV) represented by the formula (IV) and/or a product of the reaction of the titanium alkoxide with a carboxylic acid represented by the formula (III) or anhydride thereof

A tooth coating composition comprises a component A including a reactive metallic oxide; and a component B of water, which are mixed with each other when using the tooth coating composition, wherein at least one of the component A and the component B comprises a polycarboxylic acids, a reaction retarder and a coating film-softening agent. Specifically, the reactive metallic oxide may be zinc oxide or the like, the polycarboxylic acid may be polyacrylic acid or the like, the reaction retarder may be calcium hydrogen phosphate or the like, and the coating film-softening agent may be polymethyl methacrylate or the like. The coated film formed from the tooth coating composition has a color approximate to the color of natural teeth, and causes little irritation to mouths. In addition, the coating film has high durability and easy removability after use, so that it can be easily used by ordinary consumers.

Tooth coating composition and over-coating composition therefor

A tooth coating composition contains shellac, solvent for the shellac, and mica titanium as the main constituents. The coating provided on teeth with such composition is excellent in its drying property, durability, color tone, and easiness of removal thereof. The content of the shellac in the whole composition is preferably from 6 to 12% by weight and the content of the mica titanium is preferably from 3.5 to 16% by weight.

A cushioning structure which is a three-dimensional multiple woven texture formed of a surface layer portion and an intermediate layer portion, characterized in that (i) protuberances are formed on one side or both sides of the surface layer portion at least unidirectionally and have an average height of 2 to 15 mm, an average width of one side of the protuberance being 2 to 30 mm; and that (ii) said intermediate layer portion is formed of one layer or by laminating two or more layers, said layer having a plurality of communicating hollow portions which are arranged in parallel unidirectionally. This cushioning structure is excellent in air permeability, cushioning properties, durability and washability, and is therefore useful as various cushioning materials.
