A solenoid type switch has at least two driving coils. The driving coils turn off a switch with a current for example an overcurrent that flows in the switch. The driving coils are magnetized or demagnetized by a driving circuit so as to turn on or off the switch. The driving circuit magnetizes or demagnetizes the driving coils in accordance with a control signal supplied from a controlling circuit. Thus, the switch can be turned off with the current that flows in the driving coils.

A driving circuit is disclosed. The driving circuit comprises a secondary battery cell having a positive electrode and a negative electrode, first and second N-type field effect transistors each having a gate, a drain, and a source, first and second switching devices, connected between the gates of the first and second N-type field effect transistors and the negative electrode side of the secondary battery cell, for turning on and off the first and second N-type field effect transistors, driving means for controlling the first and second switching devices, first and second output terminals, and a diode having an anode and a cathode.

With the floating-type magnetic head, a load beam, working as an arm, and a flexure, working as a holder, are separately constructed. The flexure is attached to the base of the load beam by spot welding. An embossed (spherical concaved) portion is formed onto the middle of the displacement portion and is in contact with the base. Because the flexure is stiffer and stronger than a conventional cantilever spring-type flexure, it is possible. to prevent the displacement portion from being plastic-deformed even when there is a shock to the magnetic head when it is on standby. Further, the slider uses the embossed portion as a pivot, making the floating more stable.

A disk device for moving an arm which supports a head slider and for positioning the head slider at a predetermined position of a disk, includes a suspension fixed at one end to the arm; a flexure which is provided in the vicinity of the other end of the suspension and on which the head slider is mounted; a spherical projection provided to project toward the disk at the end beyond the flexure mount position of the suspension; a slant base provided with a slant surface having an increasing distance from the disk in accordance with a radial outward distance of the disk; and a drive source for moving the arm so that the projection is moved in engagement with the slant surface in loading and unloading.
