A spring connector includes: a tube; a movable pin having a distal end portion that protrudes from an opening of the tube, and having a hole portion that opens on a side opposite to a protruding direction; and a coil spring configured to bias the movable pin in the protruding direction. The coil spring includes an eccentric winding portion whose winding center is eccentric relative to an axial straight line connecting a winding center of a winding portion at one end portion and a winding center of a winding portion at the other end portion.

An image heating apparatus includes an endless belt, a rotary member configured to form a nip portion with the endless belt, regulating members for regulating the endless belt from moving in a longitudinal direction by being in contact with longitudinal ends of the endless belt, and a sheet-like heating member. The heating member includes a heat transfer member in contact with the inner surface of the endless belt, and a heating portion located on an opposite side from a side, of the heating member, in contact with the inner surface of the endless belt across the heat transfer member. Both end portions of the heat transfer member are disposed at the same location or outside of both end portions of the heating portion in the longitudinal direction and are disposed inside of both end portions of the rotary member in the longitudinal direction.

A spring connector with waterproofing function includes a conductive tube having a distal end that is a contact part to be contacted with an object at one side; a conductive pin having a distal end that is a contact part to be contacted with an object at the other side, and protruded from an opening at a base end of the conductive tube; a spring held inside the conductive tube, and pressing the conductive pin to urge the conductive pin so as to protrude from the conductive tube; and an elastic member having a hole into which the conductive tube is inserted to be brought into tight contact with a side face of the conductive tube, the elastic member being spread in a flange-like shape from the side face of the conductive tube.

A surface mount antenna with small size and broadband is provided. The surface mount antenna includes: a substrate including a dielectric material or a magnetic material as a main material; a feed radiation conductor formed on the substrate, one end of the feed radiation conductor being a first feed end to be supplied with power, and the other end being a first open end; and a parasitic radiation conductor formed on the substrate at a distance from the feed radiation conductor, one end of the parasitic radiation conductor being a second feed end to be supplied with power from the feed radiation conductor through electromagnetic coupling, and the other end being a second open end. A region having a dielectric constant or a magnetic permeability lower than that of the main material of the substrate is provided between the feed radiation conductor and the parasitic radiation conductor.

Surface mount antenna and antenna module

A connector is adapted to be mounted on a board member. An insulative holder is formed with a through hole connecting a first side face and a second side face which is adapted to be opposed to the board member. The insulative holder accommodates a coiled spring in the through hole such that a first portion of the coiled spring is retractably projected from the first side face. A conductive plate member is attached to the holder. A first part of the plate member is disposed on the second side face of the holder such that a second portion of the coiled spring which is disposed within the through hole is brought into contact therewith. A second part of the plate member is disposed on the second side face separately from the first part, and adapted to receive solder for electrically connecting the coiled spring to a connection electrode provided on the board member. A third part of the plate member connects the first part and the second part while being extended on at least one side face which is other than the second side face.

A self-sustained pulsating laser diode in which a region in an active layer functions as a saturable absorber has at least five and no more than ten quantum wells, p-type cladding layer flat part with a layer thickness of at least 300 nm and no greater than 500 nm, and a p-type cladding layer flat part with a carrier density of at least 1&#xd7;10cmand no greater than 5&#xd7;10cm. This laser diode achieves a sufficiently small current distribution compared with the light distribution in the lateral direction, thereby enabling stable self-sustained pulsating operation up to a high temperature, which was difficult to achieve in the past.

A light emitting semiconductor element comprises a first additive layer which is added into a cladding layer or a middle layer. The first additive layer has a lattice constant which is different from a lattice constant of a semiconductor substrate. The light emitting semiconductor element is attached to a heat sink to form a laser device. The heat sink gives deformation to the light emitting semiconductor element. The first additive layer generates strain therein and suppresses influence of the deformation.

A block type dielectric filter including a dielectric block and a plurality of through holes wherein a resonance frequency at individual resonating portions can be set at a specific value even when the dielectric filter is miniaturized. The resonance frequencies can be varied at the individual resonating portions simply by creating a slight change in a coupling factor. The plurality of through holes are provided extending from one surface of the dielectric block toward an opposite surface. Surfaces, except for an open end surface, of said dielectric block are clad with a conductive material layer and a groove is provided on the open end surface between a set of adjacent through holes. The groove is provided offset toward a through hole by an offset quantity.

In a method of manufacturing a semiconductor laser device having a double hetero structure which is structured by at least a first clad layer, an active layer and a second clad layer on a semiconductor substrate by the use of the organic metal vapor growth method, crystal is grown in first atmosphere gas containing hydrogen in a temperature rising process. Subsequently, the first atmosphere gas is switched into second atmosphere gas in a temperature dropping process after the crystal growth. The second atmosphere gas contains no hydrogen.

A block type dielectric filter including a dielectric block and a plurality of through holes wherein a resonance frequency at individual resonating portions can be set at a specific value even when the dielectric filter is miniaturized. The resonance frequencies can be varied at the individual resonating portions simply by creating a slight change in a coupling factor. The plurality of through holes are provided extending from one surface of the dielectric block toward an opposite surface. The surfaces except for an open end surface are clad with a conductive material layer and a groove is provided on the open end surface between a set of adjacent through holes. The groove is provided offset toward a through hole by an offset quantity.

Dielectric filter having tunable resonating portions

A lipid emulsion which comprises (A) an oil component, (B) an emulsifying agent containing yolk lecithin and/or soybean lecithin, and (C) water, wherein the lipid emulsion further comprises citric acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and at least one member selected from the group consisting of methionine, phenylalanine, serine, histidine and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, provided that it does not simultaneously contain methionine and phenylalanine. The addition of citric acid and histidine, methionine, phenylalanine and/or serine to a lipid emulsion containing natural lecithin as an emulsifying agent permits the prevention of change of color and formation of oil drops associated with the conventional natural lecithin-containing lipid emulsion due to the synergistic effect of the foregoing additives. The drug-containing lipid emulsion is also excellent in storage stability and thus the foregoing lipid emulsion can be applied to drugs such as injections, eye drops, nasal drops, lotions or liniments, inhalants and drugs for oral administration or cosmetics such as humectants.

An aqueous dispersion containing liposomes comprising yolk lecithin and/or soybean lecithin as lipids for forming liposomes wherein the dispersion contains a hydroxy acid and an amino acid, which hardly shows coloration, shows little leak of drugs encapsulated in the liposomes and is stable in a broad pH range.

In a quantum well semiconductor laser in which a stripe-like multilayered structure having a cladding layer of a first conductivity type, a quantum well active layer, and a cladding layer of a second conductivity type is formed on a semiconductor substrate or a semiconductor base layer, and multilayered structures identical to the stripe-like multilayered structure are formed along two sides of the stripe-like multilayered structure with grooves interposed in between, where each groove has a width smaller at portions near end face portions of a resonator than at a central portion thereof, and a quantum well layer of the quantum well active layer has a smaller thickness at the portions near the end face portions of the resonator than at the central portion thereof.
