Provided is a resin back door for a hatchback vehicle including a resin inner panel, a resin outer panel, and a lower-side reinforcing member made of metal extending in a vehicle width direction to be fixed to a lower side portion of the inner panel. The lower-side reinforcing member is locked to a vehicle lower structure via a door lock mechanism when the resin back door is closed.

A resin back door includes an inner panel, an upper outer panel, and a reinforcing member fixed to the inner panel, and the upper outer panel and the reinforcing member are fastened with a bolt. In the resin back door, the reinforcing member has a flat plate portion extending along an inner surface of the upper outer panel, the reinforcing member has a fastened portion formed as an arm extending after bending from the flat plate portion toward the upper outer panel, and the upper outer panel has a fastened portion formed as a thin thickness portion having a plate thickness smaller than that of a general portion.

A reinforcing member is disposed in the closed cross-section structure at a position where each roof side rail is connected to a roof cross member. A resin back door includes a resin inner panel, a resin lower outer panel, and a metal reinforcing member disposed in a hollow space defined by the inner panel and the lower outer panel. In the resin back door, the reinforcing member has an annular shape extending along an outer peripheral edge of the inner panel, and includes right and left reinforcing members and a lower-side reinforcing member which are separated from each other and fixed to the inner panel with an adhesive leaving a gap. The reinforcing members are connected by using right and left corner connecting members and an upper connecting member to constitute the reinforcing member.

Resin back door for vehicle and method of manufacturing the same

A roof panel is attached to a roof opening reinforcement that reinforces an area around an opening. The roof opening reinforcement has a rear side portion that extends in the lateral direction along the rear edge of the opening. The upper surface of the rear side portion of the roof opening reinforcement, or a roof panel opposed surface, extends along the lower surface of the roof panel. Extended reinforcements are disposed corresponding to the respective rear corners of the opening. The extended reinforcement extends toward the roof side rails as if forming an extension of the roof panel opposed surface, and is attached to the roof panel near where the roof panel is attached to the roof side rails.

A resin back door for a vehicle includes a resin inner panel, a resin lower outer panel, a metal left reinforcing member, and a damper stay bracket. The metal left reinforcing member is disposed in a hollow space defined by the inner panel and the lower outer panel, and is fixed to the inner panel with an adhesive leaving a gap. The damper stay bracket is attached on an outer side of the inner panel in a vehicle width direction. In the resin back door for a vehicle, the damper stay bracket is fastened to the left reinforcing member across a collar having one end inserted into a hole provided in the inner panel.

In a vehicle front part structure of a vehicle body, a gusset member is disposed in front of a front pillar. The gusset member is positioned so as to overlap with at least a front tire in the vertical direction of the vehicle body. The gusset member covers at least a portion of a lower portion of the front pillar on a front side in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The gusset member has a stepped portion on a front side thereof in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The stepped portion extends in the vertical direction of the vehicle body and makes a portion of the gusset member disposed inside in the vehicle width direction positioned relatively in front of a portion of the gusset member disposed outside in the vehicle width direction in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body.

A vehicle exterior member attaching structure for attaching a vehicle exterior member onto a protruding target location of a vehicle includes a vehicle engagement portion located at a target section, an attachment hole located at the target section, a covering portion located on the vehicle exterior member, an engagement portion located on the covering portion and configured to be engaged with the vehicle engagement portion, and an attachment piece located on the covering portion and configured to be inserted into the attachment hole. The covering portion and the attachment piece are integrally formed with a portion of the attachment piece connected to the covering portion forming a thin integral hinge.

Vehicular exterior member attaching structure and attaching method

A support structure for a fuel lid attached by a hinge to a vehicle body is provided with an annular rubber seal, which is provided on the vehicle body to surround an oil filler port in the vehicle body. The rubber seal has a top surface and an inner circumferential surface. The support structure includes a contact plate provided on a back surface of the fuel lid. The contact plate contacts the rubber seal when the fuel lid is in the closed state. The contact plate has an upper surface contact portion for contacting the upper surface of the rubber seal, and an inner-surface contact portion for contacting the inner circumferential surface of the rubber seal.

In a joining structure of a lid box according to an embodiment of the invention, a joining area where a joining surface of a joining portion of a side outer panel faces a joining surface of a joining portion of the lid box includes a first area where the joining surfaces come into contact with each other and are supposed to be subjected to spot-welding and a second area where the joining surfaces are separated from each other by a predetermined gap and are supposed to be subjected to laser-welding, and the spot-welding is performed on the first area or the laser-welding is performed on the second area. For that reason, since the joining states respectively suitable for the spot-welding and the laser-welding are realized, sufficient welding quality is ensured in both the spot-welding and the laser-welding.

Lid box joining structure and joining method

A recess is formed at the center of a bumper absorber, provided on the vehicle outer side of a bumper reinforcement, so as to face forward, and an upper recess wall face of an upper absorber portion located on the upper side of the recess is inclined downward. If the subject vehicle is small in height and the amount of vertical overlap between the bumper absorber and the rear bumper of other vehicle (a barrier used in the narrow vertical overlap barrier test of the IIHS) is small, in the initial collision stage, the rear bumper of the other vehicle is guided by the inclined upper recess wall face to move relatively downward while the bumper of the subject vehicle moves relatively upward, preventing underride, increasing the amount of vertical overlap between the rear bumper of the other vehicle and the bumper absorber, and thus achieving reliable impact absorption.
