The present invention provides a method for continuously manufacturing a stretchable sheet () with a thread-shaped elastic body () fixed between a pair of belt-shaped sheets () in a stretched state, the method including a supply process of introducing the fed thread-shaped elastic body () to elastic body winding means () in a stretched state, a conveyance process of continuously winding the thread-shaped elastic body () to a thread-conveying longitudinal structure () using the elastic body winding means () and conveying the wound thread-shaped elastic body in a longitudinal direction of the structure (), and an integration process of fixing the thread-shaped elastic body () as sandwiching between the sheets (). In the supply process, the thread-shaped elastic body () is introduced to the elastic body winding means () while adjusting a speed of the thread-shaped elastic body () to be equal to or higher than a winding speed against the pair of conveying belts () with speed adjusting means (B) which is arranged at the upstream side of the elastic body winding means ().

A stretchable composite sheet having a number of ridges in a neat and orderly arrangement is disclosed. The stretchable composite sheet is easily produced by the process of the invention. The stretchable composite sheet is a laminate of a stretch sheetand a nonstretch sheet. The stretch sheethas first zoneshaving elastic stretchability and second zoneshaving less stretchability than the first zones. The first zonesand the second zonesextend in the same direction and alternate with each other. The stretch sheetand the nonstretch sheetare bonded over substantially the entire area of their facing sides. Composite extensible member and method of manufacturing the same

The absorptive body is divided into a stomach side portion, an under-crotch portion, and a back side portion, substantially continuous elastically expansible members being disposed over entire peripheral edge portions of a waist opening and a pair of leg openings which are formed by fixedly connecting confronting opposite side portions between the stomach side portion and the back side portion. The absorber is 8 mm or less in thickness and 100 mm or more in width in the under-crotch portion, and the distance from a side edge of the under-crotch portion of the absorber to the elastically expansible members disposed in the leg opening is 15 mm or more.
