A scroll compression device that prevents scattering of lubrication oil to a discharge pipe side is provided. A cup 48 which is opened at the lower portion thereof and prevents scattering of lubrication oil is disposed on the lower surface of the main frame 21, and an annular insulator 19 having a double wall structure which surrounds windings is disposed on the upper surface of a stator 37. The peripheral wall of the cup 48 is hung between the double walls 19A, 19B of the insulator.

A scroll type compressor including a fixed scroll, a movable scroll engaged with the fixed scroll, and a hermetically sealed container in which the fixed scroll and the movable scroll are mounted. The fixed scroll or the movable scroll has an intercommunication path for lubricating oil that is opened to the outside of the one scroll at one end thereof, extends radially inside the scroll and has a high-pressure opening intercommunicating with a high-pressure portion of the container and a low-pressure opening intercommunicating with a low-pressure portion in the scroll, a pin member disposed in the intercommunication path so as to be movable radially in the scroll, a screw member closing one end of the intercommunication path, and a stopper provided at a predetermined position in the intercommunication path to regulate radial movement of the pin member.

A compressor comprises, in a container body, an electric element, and a compressive element driven by the electric element. An oil storage is provided in the bottom, and an oil pump is provided to suck up oil from the oil storage. The oil pump includes a cylinder fixed to a lower support frame, a rotator axially installed on the lower end of a driveshaft and operative to rotate within an inner space of the cylinder, and a suction pipe having an upper end connected to a communication notch formed in the cylinder and a lower end inserted and arranged in the oil storage. In this compressor, the upper end of the suction pipe is protruded into the communication notch of the cylinder to configure an oil residue pool.

A compressor comprises an oil storage provided in the bottom of a container body. An oil cup is fixed in communication with the oil storage. An oil pump is attached to the lower end of a shaft and inserted into the oil cup. A rotation inhibitor is provided including a plurality of plates each having one end fixed to the inner wall of the oil cup and the other end disposed almost vertically toward the central axis of the oil cup. The plate has an upper end located in the vicinity of the upper edge of the oil cup, a lower end located in the vicinity of the bottom of the oil cup, and side ends located in the vicinity of the outer wall of the oil pump.

Rotational inhibitor for compressor lubricant

It is desired to avoid lack of lubricant oil in any of a plurality of compressors disposed in parallel in a single refrigerant circuit. To achieve this result, a freezer unit is provided, wherein a first kind of oil return pipe leading to a refrigerant suction pipe of a first compressor from an oil separator installed in a discharged refrigerant junction pipe is installed, and a second kind of oil return pipe leading to a refrigerant suction pipe of a second compressor from the regular oil level height of the first compressor is utilized.

A process for producing a water-absorbing resin, which comprises polymerizing (D) an aqueous solution comprising (A) at least one monomer component selected from the group consisting of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and salts thereof; (B) a compound having two or more unsaturated groups in a molecule; and (C) a compound having two or more functional groups which are capable of reacting with carboxyl groups in a molecule, the polymerization being conducted in such a manner that the following conditions (a) to (c) are simultaneously satisfied: (a) the molar ratio (B)/(C) being in the range of from 2&times;10 to 300, (b) the polymerization being initiated by a redox polymerization initiator, and (c) the maximum reaction temperature being in the range of from 60&deg; to 100&deg; C., and a water-absorbing resin having a degree of reduction in absorption magnification of from 1 to 16, and n absorption magnification under pressure of from 20 to 40.

Water-absorbing resin and process for producing same

A dust suction head for use in an electric vacuum cleaner, having an air suction port at the bottom of the head. The head has a brush chamber which accommodates therein a freely rotatable brush having blades that extend along the shaft of the rotational brush. The head additionally has an opening and an air passage connected with the opening for taking in and leading fresh air into the vacuum chamber of the cleaner through the brush chamber such that the fresh air passing through the brush chamber impinges on the blades to accelerate the rotational motion of the blades. Thus, the head can obtain a necessary amount of air to rotate the brush at all times, especially when it is brushing a carpet, and maintain its smooth motion on the floor while dusting it.
