A power tool includes a motor including a stator and a rotor rotatable relative to the stator about a rotation axis, a gear drivable in response to rotation of the rotor, a motor compartment accommodating the motor, a rear cover covering a rear opening in the motor compartment, a gear case accommodating the gear and covering a front opening in the motor compartment, a first screw fastening the rear cover and the motor compartment together, and a second screw fastening the motor compartment and the gear case together, and at a different position from the first screw in a plane orthogonal to the rotation axis.

Power tool

An impact driver includes a hammer that is rotated by a motor and an anvil configured to be struck by the hammer to rotate the anvil about a rotational axis. A hammer case houses the hammer. Two or more bearings are provided inside the hammer case and support the anvil. To inhibit vibration of the anvil during operation, the bearings may be differing types, such as a regular ball bearing and an angular contact ball bearing, and/or the bearings may have different inner and/or outer diameters. A contact member, such as an O-ring, may be disposed in an insertion hole of the anvil to reduce vibrations that are transmitted to the tool bit.

Impact tool

A jigsaw includes a main body having a grasping part configured to be grasped by a user, a blade projecting downwardly from a front part of the main body and configured to reciprocate up and down, and a base coupled to a lower part of the main body and configured to make contact with a workpiece. A rear end of a contact surface that is configured to make contact with the workpiece is located at a position that coincides with or is rearward of the rear end of the grasping part.

Jigsaw

A power tool, for example, a portable circular saw, includes a fan, a motor configured to rotate the fan, an output part or shaft driven by the motor, a motor housing that houses the motor, a grip housing connected to the motor housing, a trigger associated with the grip housing, and a brake member configured to brake a rotation of the motor, the brake member being mounted inside the grip housing. The brake member may be a resistive element of a rheostatic braking system. The housing and fan are configured such that cooling air is directed to cool the brake member.

A jigsaw includes a motor, a rod having a blade attached thereto, a power transmission portion that converts rotation transmitted from the motor to vertical movement of the rod to vertically move the blade, and a counterweight that moves vertically in a direction of the vertical movement of the rod outside a range of the vertical, movement of the rod and the blade. At least a part of the counterweight is disposed so as to cross an extended line of a trajectory of the vertical movement of the rod. The counterweight moves vertically independently of the vertical movement of the rod which is produced by the power transmission portion.

Reciprocating cutting tool

A wind shielding portion is provided in a front side of an exhaust port for cooling air from a motor such that it crosses over a lateral width with respect to a cutting direction. The cooling air which is blown to the wind shielding portion is effectively blown through a ventilation portion having a small ventilating resistance force and towards a marking line guide. Even when the cutting device main body is set at an incline, the cooling air is blown to the wind shielding portion, and is effectively blown through the ventilation portion to the marking line guide.

A hand-held power tool includes a motor having a stator and a rotor, the motor being configured to rotate the rotor at a speed of at least 40,000 rpm, an output shaft directly driven by the rotor, a tool accessory shaft configured to support a tool accessory, and a two-stage speed reducing transmission operably connecting the output shaft to the tool accessory shaft. The two-stage speed reducing transmission is configured to drive the tool accessory shaft at a rate less than the rotor speed, for example, at a rate less than or equal to 37.5% of the rotor speed.

Battery-powered power tools

A table saw includes a table capable of supporting a workpiece, a cutting unit and a positioning fence. The positioning fence has a positioning surface for supporting the workpiece. The positioning surface is divided into an upper positioning surface and a lower positioning surface that are positioned above the table. First slide fences allocated to the lower positioning surface and second slide fences allocated to the upper positioning surface are slidably supported in a table surface direction relatively independent from each other. The positioning surfaces of the first and second slide fences constitute an entire region of the positioning surface. In this way, the entire region of the positioning surface is made to be slidable in accordance with various operation modes.

Portable plate joiner

A dust collecting device for collecting cutting chips into a dust collecting container is provided. A back-flow preventing wall(s) is fixedly disposed on a flow path member defining a flow path between a machining apparatus and the dust collecting container. The back-flow preventing wall(s) is configured to decrease a cross sectional area of a flow path part defined by the flow path member in a downstream direction with respect to the flow of the air containing the cutting chips toward the dust collecting container.

In a bench circular sawing machine as one example of a cutting machine, a vise assembly to be mounted to a guide fence includes a pressing part (e.g., an arm and a feed screw) configured to be capable of moving upward and downward and fixed at a desired height, in a position protrusively frontward of the guide fence, and a second pressing part (e.g., stopper plate) configured to be capable of moving along the guide surface upward and downward and fixed at a desired height. One of the pressing part and the second pressing part is selected for use in holding a workpiece down from above.
