A tractor includes: a vehicle body; an engine disposed in an engine compartment; a radiator that is disposed, in the engine compartment, further toward a vehicle-body front side than the engine and cools the engine; an exhaust-gas cleaning device that purifies exhaust gas exhausted from the engine using a reducing agent; a reducing-agent tank that stores the reducing agent supplied to the exhaust-gas cleaning device; and a battery, the reducing-agent tank being disposed, in the engine compartment, side-by-side with the battery and further toward the vehicle-body front side than the radiator.

A front wheel clutch and a front wheel acceleration clutch are supported to a front wheel transmission shaft. Between the front wheel clutch and the front wheel acceleration clutch, there is provided a holder supporting the front wheel transmission shaft. A first operational oil passage for switching over the front wheel clutch is defined respectively in and between the holder and the front wheel transmission shaft. A second operational oil passage for switching over the front wheel acceleration clutch is defined respectively in and between the holder and the front wheel transmission shaft.

Traveling transmission device for tractor

A license plate support mechanism is equipped with an attachment portion to which a license plate can be attached, a fixation portion fixating the attachment portion to a vehicle body, and a switching mechanism. The switching mechanism couples the attachment portion to the fixation portion such that the attachment portion is capable of displacing relative to the fixation portion. The switching mechanism also enables the attachment portion to switch between a storage position, in which the attachment portion is stored on a left/right direction inward side of a left/right pair of rear wheel fenders, and a display position, in which the attachment portion is positioned on the left/right direction outward side of the left/right pair of rear wheel fenders.

The arrangement of driven gears on a countershaft in a main speed change mechanism is shortened in an axial direction, whereby the main speed change mechanism can be made compact in the axial direction. Driven gears on a countershaft of a main speed change mechanism are successively arranged from front to rear in descending order of speed. A sub-low-speed drive gear for a sub-speed change mechanism is provided in front of the highest-speed driven gear on the countershaft, and the next-highest-speed driven gear serves as a sub-high-speed drive gear for the sub-speed change mechanism. A sub-low-speed driven gear and a sub-high-speed driven gear for the sub-speed change mechanism are provided on an output shaft to be engaged with the sub-low-speed drive gear and the next-highest-speed driven gear, respectively, and the highest-speed driven gear, the sub-low-speed drive gear, and the next-highest-speed driven gear are caused to overlap in a fore-and-aft direction.

When an operation lever is operated to either a speed changing path or a neutral path, a second link mechanism establishes no operative coupling between the operation lever and a parking brake mechanism. When the operation lever is operated from the neutral path to a linking path, the second link mechanism establishes operative coupling between the operation lever and the parking brake mechanism. Further, when the operation lever is operated to a braking path, the parking brake mechanism is activated. When the lever is operated to a locking path, a locking mechanism is activated.

A transmission for a tractor having a change speed device operable when an engine and the transmission are connected to transmit, in varied speeds, power from the engine to a driving wheel, a main drive shaft for receiving power from the engine when the engine and the transmission are connected, and a reverse and forward drive switching device disposed between the engine and the change speed device operable to switch a direction of rotation of power from the engine. The reverse and forward drive switching device being shiftable between a high-speed forward drive position, a low-speed forward drive position, and a reverse drive position, and including a high-speed forward drive clutch, a low-speed forward drive clutch, and a reverse drive clutch wherein each clutch is mounted on the main drive shaft for switching the reverse and forward drive switching device to each respective clutch drive position.

A transmission for a tractor comprises a transmission case having an opening that opens to exterior of the transmission case and a speed change device that is housed in the transmission case. The transmission also includes a cover removably attached to the transmission case for closing the opening of the transmission, a main speed change shift fork supported by the cover and capable of engaging with and moving a main speed change shifter, and a sub speed change shift fork supported by the cover and capable of engaging with and moving a sub speed change shifter. The cover is capable of mounting a creep speed change device having a creep speed position.
