A coil component includes a magnetic core that includes a pair of wind portions, a pair of coil conductors where respective conductive wires are wound around the wind portions, and a securing member that has spring properties, includes an upper surface portion, first and second side surface portions, and first and second bottom surface portions, and secures the core while surrounding the core. With the securing member removed from the core, angles formed by the upper surface portion and first side surface portion, the upper surface portion and second side surface portion, the first side surface portion and first bottom surface portion, and the second side surface portion and second bottom surface portion are acute angles. The first and second side surface portions are formed by curved surfaces. The first and second bottom surface portions serve as mounted portions when the coil component is mounted over a mounting board.

Coil component and electronic component

A coil component includes a frame-shaped magnetic core including wound sections facing each other, cylindrical coil conductors, and a holder made of an insulating material and holding the coil conductors and the magnetic core. The magnetic core extends through the coil conductors such that the coil conductors and the wound sections are associated with each other. The holder includes a first partition disposed between the magnetic core and a first winding wire end of each of the coil conductors, a second partition disposed between the magnetic core and a second winding wire end of each of the coil conductors, and a third partition disposed between the coil conductors. The first to third partitions are integrally formed.

Coil component

A method for manufacturing a coil component that can contribute to prevention of durability degradation of a wire. The method includes winding a plurality of wires, that are supplied from a wire supply source to a nozzle through a tensioner, around a core by revolving the core around the nozzle. Also, during the winding, the core is rotated in a direction same as or opposite to a revolution direction of the core.

Method for manufacturing coil component and winding device

A wire-wound electronic component includes a core having a winding base extending in an axial direction, a flange provided at an end of the winding base in the axial direction, and a wire wound around the winding base. An external electrode is provided on a plurality of side surfaces of the flange and is connected to an end of the wire, where the side surfaces are orthogonal to the axial direction. A connecting surface on which the end of the wire contacts with the external electrode is one of the side surfaces that is different from one of the side surfaces that functions as a mounting surface, and the external electrode extends from the mounting surface to the end of the wire in such a manner to turn in a direction same as a winding direction of the wire.

Wire-wound electronic component

A load-control type actuator is provided, in which the impact load applied to a workpiece is reduced enabling damages in the workpiece to be small. A load-control-type actuator includes a nozzle which comes into contact with a workpiece, a nozzle holder for supporting the nozzle via a spring, and a voice-coil motor which can control a thrust driving force to the nozzle holder. The spring constant of the spring is set so that the spring reaction force of the spring within the response time of the voice-coil motor is reduced smaller than the maximum impact load when the nozzle touches the workpiece. The nozzle is suspended and supported by the spring and the initial load thereof is set to zero.
