A belt conveying device includes a correction mechanism, a belt cleaning unit, a roller retaining member, a cleaning support member, and a posture maintaining unit. When a belt is meandering, the correction mechanism allows one end side of a meandering correction roller in an axial direction to move in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction, so as to correct meandering of the belt. The posture maintaining unit connects the roller retaining member and the cleaning support member, so as to maintain posture of the belt cleaning unit with respect to the meandering correction roller.

Each of the sliders is reciprocated such that each of the first bearing holders slides on the corresponding one of the first step ribs to be reciprocated in a direction toward and away from the transfer belt and the second bearing holder slides on the second step rib to be reciprocated in the direction toward and away from the transfer belt. The first step rib arranged most upstream in the direction of travel of the transfer belt and the second step rib are arranged side by side in the axial direction of the transfer roller, and overlap each other when viewed in the axial direction.

The cleaning member is fixed to the cleaning holder and cleans the transmissive member by sliding with respect to the transmissive member along with movement of the cleaning holder. The stopper is disposed on one side of the guide rail in an extending direction of the guide rail and restricts the movement of the cleaning holder. A conveying roller pair is provided at an end portion on an upstream side. A swing mechanism swings a discharge mechanism centered around a drive shaft of the conveying roller pair. An upper surface height measuring unit measures the height of the upper surface of documents stacked on the discharge tray. A control unit, by causing the swing mechanism to swing the discharge mechanism according to the height measured by the upper surface height measuring unit, performs control so that the difference between a discharge port and the upper surface of the documents stacked on the discharge tray is within a specified range.

A document conveyance apparatus includes a first conveyance path, a first image reading part, a curved second conveyance path, a third conveyance path, a branch guide, a first discharge port, a document stacking section, a second discharge port and a tray support part. The first conveyance path extends linearly. The curved second conveyance path is branched from the first conveyance path at a branch point. The third conveyance path is branched from the first conveyance path at the branch point and extends linearly. Through the first discharge port, the document conveyed along the second conveyance path is discharged. The document stacking section is provided with a discharge tray. Through the second discharge port, the document conveyed along the third conveyance path is discharged. To the tray support part, the detached discharge tray is supported such that the document discharged through the second discharge port is stacked.

A document conveyance apparatus includes a first conveyance path, a first image reading part, a second conveyance path, a third conveyance path and a branch guide. The first conveyance path extends linearly. The first image reading part reads an image on one face of the document conveyed along the first conveyance path. The second conveyance path branches from the first conveyance path at a branch point on a downstream side of the first reading part in a conveyance direction of the document and is formed to be curved. An image reading device has a document placement stage, a light source unit, and a sensor unit. The light source unit has a first light source part having a first light source at one end in the main scanning direction and a first light guide, a second light source part having a second light source at the other end in the main scanning direction and a second light guide, a first board where the first light source is mounted, and a second board where the second light source is mounted. The first and second boards each have a board base, a mounting part where the first or second light source is mounted, and a reflection face formed next to the first or second light source.
