Provided is a clutch device configured so that close contactability between a cam surface of a center clutch and a cam surface of a pressure clutch can be improved and torque transmission can be stabilized accordingly. The clutch device () includes a center clutch () and a pressure clutch (). The center clutch () includes center-side cam portions (), a pressure clutch slide portion (), and a lifter plate slide portion (). The pressure clutch () includes pressure-side cam portions (), a lifter plate (), and a second center clutch slide portion (). The lifter plate () includes first center clutch slide portions (). A clearance (C) between the second center clutch slide portion () and the pressure clutch slide portion () is set greater than a clearance (C) between the first center clutch slide portion () and the lifter plate slide portion ().

A power transmitting apparatus inputs or cuts off rotational power of an input member () to an output member () by press-contacting a plurality of driving-side clutch discs () and a plurality of driven-side clutch discs () with each other or releases them. This invention provides a sheet processing apparatus for passing sheets between an upper jaw and a lower jaw of a binder fixed on an intermediate stacking portion and for binding the ends of the sheets, wherein binding processing is possible for a large number of sheets and the problems of paper jams due to inclining or poor alignment are solved.
