A rotor includes a rotor core provided with a through hole, and a shaft fitted into the through hole. The shaft includes an arc-shaped outer peripheral portion extending along a center of the through hole, and a flat surface portion linearly cutting out at least part of a circle of the outer peripheral portion in a section orthogonal to an extending direction of the center. The through hole of the rotor core includes an inner peripheral portion that faces and is separated from the outer peripheral portion and the flat surface portion to provide a space portion, a first contact portion that is provided in the inner peripheral portion directed toward the center and contacts the flat surface portion, and second contact portions that are provided in the inner peripheral portion directed toward the center at positions away from the first contact portion and contact the outer peripheral portion.

Rotor

A rotor including a shaft, and a rotor core fixed on an outer circumferential surface of the shaft, with a key portion provided in an inner circumferential surface of the rotor core being fitted in a keyway provided in the outer circumferential surface of the shaft. The key portion includes an opposed part opposed to the keyway, wherein the opposed part is constituted by a core bottom portion, a core inclined portion and a core curved portion of the inner circumferential surface of the rotor core, which are contiguous in a circumferential direction of the rotor core. The core inclined portion and a shaft inclined portion of the outer circumferential surface of the shaft are in contact at with each other. The core curved portion and a shaft curved portion of the outer circumferential surface of the shaft cooperate to define a clearance in a radial direction of the rotor.

Rotor for electric motor

A retarder-equipped rotating electrical machine includes a rotor, a stator, and a retarder rotor. The stator has teeth at regular intervals in a circumferential direction. One ends of the teeth are disposed to face the rotor. The retarder rotor has a magnetic member continuously in the circumferential direction. The retarder rotor is disposed to face the other ends of the teeth of the stator and configured to rotate integrally with the rotor. A rotor-to-stator pole piece portion having pole pieces at regular intervals in the circumferential direction is disposed between the rotor and the stator. A stator-to-retarder rotor pole piece portion having pole pieces at regular intervals in the circumferential direction is disposed between the stator and the retarder rotor. Both pole piece portions are moved in the circumferential direction to switch between an operation as a motor or generator and an operation as a retarder.

Retarder-equipped rotating electrical machine

A rotating machine and a pinion shaft are separately arranged on opposite sides to each other in the vehicle front-rear direction across a third axis that is an axis of a differential device in plan view as seen from above the vehicle. This configuration enables the rotating machine, a parallel shaft transmission, the pinion shaft, the differential device, and others to be integrally assembled to a case, to thereby configure an electric drive unit to be compact, which is advantageous in space.

A control device for a power transmitting device for four-wheel drive hybrid-vehicle is provided capable of preventing the occurrence of negative torque resulting from power generation control of a second electric motor MG. Drive-force control executes a control such that rear-wheel output torque Tpr of rear wheels falls in a positive torque when first and second electric motors MGand MGexecute power generation controls, thereby preventing torques of front and rear wheels from orienting in different directions. Accordingly, the front and rear wheels have torques oriented in the same direction, thereby favorably preventing discomfort feeling during a vehicle running.

A differential gear unit has a pinion gear that can spin as well as revolve, a differential case that has a pinion retaining portion that supports the pinion gear, and a pair of side gears that mesh with the pinion gear. Frictional force generated at a portion where the pinion gear contacts the pinion retaining portion when the rotation speed of one side gear is faster than the rotation speed of the other side gear is different from the frictional force generated between the pinion gear and the pinion retaining portion when the rotation speed of the one side gear is slower than the rotation speed of the other side gear.

Differential gear unit

A roof opening/closing apparatus for operating a roof of a vehicle to move between first and second positions includes a panel member for covering an upper portion of an accommodating space and a panel moving mechanism. The panel member includes a first panel and a second panel which are aligned in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The panel moving mechanism is provided under the panel member to movably support the first and second panels. The panel moving mechanism includes a sliding mechanism slidably moving the second panel relative to the first panel so that the first and second panels are overlapped when the roof is located in the first position and a length of the panel member in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle is reduced to be smaller than the length of the panel member when the roof is located in the second position.

Roof opening/closing apparatus

A roof opening/closing apparatus includes a roof moved between first and second positions and structured with first, second and third panels, a first supporting mechanism movably supporting the first and second panels in association with each other, a second supporting mechanism movably supporting the third panel, a first lock mechanism locking the first panel to the vehicle body, a second lock mechanism locking the first supporting mechanism, and a third lock mechanism locking the third panel to the second panel. The roof is moved between the first position and the second position by the first and second supporting mechanisms and retained at the first position by the first to third lock mechanisms. The second and third lock mechanisms are connected to each other by an operational member and operated in association with each other to release locking operations thereof by the operational member.

A package tray for a vehicle in which the motion of the sideboards is improved and the raising of the main board and slide board is operated by the same driving source which moves the sideboards. A first output shaft is intermittently operated to move the sideboards from a position adjacent a side of the slide board to a position under the slide board and the main board.

An opening and closing device for a trunk lid of a vehicle includes a link mechanism mounted between the trunk lid and a vehicle body such that both the front side and the rear side of the trunk lid can be opened. A first connecting portion of the link mechanism is connected with the trunk lid and has a rear side connecting portion pivotably connected to the trunk lid and a front side connecting portion pivotally and detachably connected to the trunk lid. A second connecting portion of the link mechanism is connected with the vehicle body and has a rear side connecting portion pivotably connected to the vehicle body and a front side connecting portion pivotably and movably connected to the vehicle body. A hinge mechanism is mounted between the rear side of the trunk lid and the vehicle body such that the rear side of the trunk lid can be pivotally and detachably connected to the vehicle body.

A sun-roof housing comprises a main body formed into a U-shaped configuration with two corners and having a first gutter portion therealong and pair of laterally spaced rail portions for guiding a roof member, a cut-out portion formed at each of the corner by which the first gutter portion is divided into discontinuous segments, and a cover having a second gutter portion defined by an inner side wall and an outer side wall and set to be fixed to each corner of the main body in such a manner that the second gutter portion is located in the cut-out portion so as to be in fluid communication with the separated segments and the inner side wall is in fluid tight engagement with each corner of the main body.

A guide rail device of a sun-roof comprises a guide rail portion formed into a U-shaped configuration and including a first lengthwise portion, a second lengthwise portion which is in parallel therewith, a connecting portion provided between each of ends of the first and second lengthwise portions so as to be perpendicular thereto, a first corner for the connection of both the first lengthwise portion and the connecting portion, and a second corner for the connection of both the second lengthwise portion and the connecting portion, a pair of continuous guide groove device formed in the guide rail portions for guiding shoe device on which a roof panel is mounted, and an upstanding wall provided at each corner in such a manner that the wall is outside of the sliding range of each of shoes which are moved by the cables.

Guide rail device of sun-roof

A sunroof assembly includes a housing secured to the inner side of a roof panel to surround an opening, a guide rail attached to each of opposing sides of the housing, a shoe disposed in the guide rail so as to be freely slidable longitudinally of the vehicle, a sliding panel connected to the shoe via a cam member for opening and closing the opening of the roof panel, and a driving source for sliding the shoe along the guide rail longitudinally of the vehicle, wherein a pin provided on the shoe is capable of moving in a cam groove of the cam member. One end of a link is pivotally attached to the pin of the shoe, and the other end is pivotally attached to one end of a lever member. The latter is slidably connected to a bracket, which is secured to the cam member and the sliding panel, so as to be relatively movable longitudinally of the vehicle in operative association with the shoe. When the sliding panel is in a fully closed state with the pin of the shoe at a forward end of the cam groove, the lever member is turned downwardly by a pin implanted in the bracket, so that the lever member is accommodated in a space between the slide channels of the guide rails.
