A fiber-reinforced polyamide resin base material comprises continuous reinforcing fibers, or comprises a reinforcing fiber base material in which discontinuous reinforcing fibers are dispersed, impregnated with a polyamide resin. In the polyamide resin, at least part of the polymer constituting the polyamide resin is an end-modified polyamide resin having, at an end group of the polymer, a structure constituted by a structural unit different from a repeating structural unit constituting the backbone of the polymer. A fiber-reinforced polyamide resin base material having an excellent impregnation property and thermal stability, less void, and excellent surface quality is provided.

End-modified polyamide resin and method for producing same

A fiber-reinforced multilayered pellet includes a sheath layer and a core layer, the sheath layer being made of a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin (a1) and a fibrous filler (b1), wherein the fibrous filler (b1) has a weight-average fiber length (Lw) of 0.1 mm to less than 0.5 mm and a weight-average fiber length/number-average fiber length ratio (Lw/Ln) of 1.0 to less than 1.8, the core layer being made of a resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin (a2) and a fibrous filler (b2), wherein the fibrous filler (b2) has a weight-average fiber length (Lw) of 0.5 mm to less than 15.0 mm and a weight-average fiber length/number-average fiber length ratio (Lw/Ln) of 1.8 to less than 5.0.

A carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin composition includes a thermoplastic resin (A), a carbon fiber (B), and a titanium compound (C), an amount of the thermoplastic resin (A) being 10 to 65% by weight, an amount of the carbon fiber (B) being 35 to 90% by weight, based on 100% by weight of the total amount of the thermoplastic resin (A) and the carbon fiber (B), and an amount of the titanium compound (C) being 0.01 to 5 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the thermoplastic resin (A) and the carbon fiber (B).

Carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin composition, and pellets and molded article thereof

A process for continuously producing a thermoplastic copolymer, in which a copolymer (A) containing unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester units and unsaturated carboxylic acid units is produced and in succession heat-treated to perform intramolecular cyclization reaction by dehydration and/or dealcoholization reaction, for producing a thermoplastic copolymer (B) containing glutaric anhydride units and the unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester units. The obtained copolymer is excellent in heat resistance and colorless transparency and very small in foreign matter content.

Process for production of thermoplastic copolymer

A polyester composition prepared by melting and blending a polyester with a glycidyl ester compound, a glycidyl ether compound and a catalyst has good hydrolysis resistance and, when melted, gives little gas generation and undergoes little viscosity change. It is most favorable for parts of automobile, electric and electronic appliances such as connectors.
