A variable-displacement rotary compressor comprises a rotor with a vane and a side plate disposed to abut a side face of the rotor. The side plate has a suction port formed therein to open to both a working chamber abutment face thereof abutting to the rotor side face and a low pressure chamber, and the rotor has a suction path formed therein to open to the working chamber and to an abutment surface of the rotor. The suction path of the rotor communicates with the suction port of the side plate through rotation of the rotor so that a fluid is sucked from the low pressure chamber into the working chamber under suction stroke through the suction path and the suction port.

Variable-displacement rotary compressor

A rotary vane compressor comprising a cylinder, a rotor rotatably mounted within the cylinder and cooperating with an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder to define a compression chamber therebetween, two side plates for closing both ends of the cylinder, at least one vane slidably mounted to the rotor for movement radially toward and away from the rotor through an outer peripheral surface thereof and dividing the compression chamber into a plurality of spaces, and a chip seal provided on a forward end of the vane for slidably engaging with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder. The sealing efficiency of the chip seal is increased by introducing the pressure in a central portion of the rotor into the forward end of the vane.

An impact detecting device of the type including a casing; a movable member which is housed in the casing and movable substantially along a straight line relative to the casing, when the device is subjected to an impact; a spring for elastically loading the movable member during its movement in the direction against the direction of the movement of the movable member; and a switch adapted to be closed, when the movable member is moved a given distance against the action of the spring. In this device, there is provided a spiral guide which engages the movable member during its movement so as to rotate the movable member, whereby part of energy to be imparted to the casing and movable member due to impact upon collision is consumed for the rotation of the movable member, so that an extent of movement of the movable member may be shortened.

This invention relates to a sensor suitable for detecting the collision speed of a car or the like. The sensor has a pair of spring members which are supported so as to intersect with each other between free ends and fixed ends thereof, a mass which is supported in the intersecting portion of the spring members, and electric contact members which are arranged at an operative position of the mass. When an intense impulsive force acts, the mass moves onto the operative position side against the springs while shifting the intersecting portion of the springs. In the process of the movement of the mass, the collision speed is detected.
