A drive-side rotor is rotated synchronously with a crankshaft. A driven-side rotor is rotated integrally with a camshaft. An internal gear section is formed at the driven-side rotor. An Oldham coupling includes: a driven Oldham flange that is formed at the drive-side rotor; a drive Oldham flange that is formed at the planetary rotor; and an Oldham intermediate that is configured to synchronize rotation of the driven Oldham flange and rotation of the drive Oldham flange while permitting eccentricity between the driven Oldham flange and the drive Oldham flange. There is satisfied a relationship of &#x3b8;where: &#x3b8;is a maximum tilt amount of the planetary rotor relative to the driven Oldham flange; and &#x3b8;is a maximum tilt amount of the planetary rotor in a clearance formed at the Oldham coupling.

Valve timing adjustment device

An Oldham coupling includes: a driven Oldham flange that is formed at a drive-side rotor; a drive Oldham flange that is formed at a planetary rotor; and an Oldham intermediate that is configured to synchronize rotation of the driven Oldham flange and rotation of the drive Oldham flange. A thrust section is formed at a rotor plate portion which is a portion other than the Oldham coupling. The thrust section is configured to limit tilting of the planetary rotor relative to the driven Oldham flange when the thrust section contacts the planetary rotor in an axial direction. There is satisfied a relationship of &#x3b8;2&#x3e;&#x3b8;1 where: &#x3b8;1 is a maximum tilt amount of the planetary rotor relative to the driven Oldham flange; and &#x3b8;2 is a maximum tilt amount of the planetary rotor in a clearance formed at the Oldham coupling.

A bearing portion of a planetary rotatable body for providing bearing support in a thrust direction is defined as a planetary thrust bearing portion. A driving-side rotatable body or a driven-side rotatable body, which is configured to contact the planetary thrust bearing portion in the thrust direction, is defined as a specific rotatable body. A bearing portion of the specific rotatable body for providing bearing support in the thrust direction is defined as a specific thrust bearing portion. In a parallel state where the specific thrust bearing portion and the planetary thrust bearing portion are parallel to each other, the specific thrust bearing portion and the planetary thrust bearing portion contact with each other only on one of an eccentric side and a counter-eccentric side of the planetary rotatable body while the counter-eccentric side is opposite to the eccentric side.

A fuel pump has substantially coaxial outer and inner pump chambers. An impeller has partition walls correspondingly to the inner pump chamber to define inner vane grooves. A rear surface is located at a rear side in a rotative direction of each inner vane groove. At least a radially inner side of the rear surface inclines rearward in the rotative direction from the radially inner side to a radially outer side. A first line connects a radially inner end of the rear surface with a radially outer end of the rear surface. A second line radially extends from the radially inner end of the rear surface. A fuel pump includes a rotatable impeller having a plurality of blades and blade ditches on the periphery thereof, a motor section for driving the impeller, and a casing member which accommodates the impeller and has at least one fuel passage along an outer periphery of the impeller. The fuel passage communicates with the blade ditches. Moreover, a radially-inside inner surface of the fuel passage, with respect to an axis of rotation of the impeller, from a centerline on a bottom of the fuel passage to a radially inside edge of the fuel passage is formed as an approximately quadrant curved surface.

Fuel pump

A fuel feed apparatus is accommodated in a fuel tank. The fuel feed apparatus includes a sub-tank that is provided in a bottom of the fuel tank. The fuel feed apparatus further includes a fuel pump that is accommodated in the sub-tank. The fuel pump includes an impeller that defines a plurality of pump chambers. The fuel pump has a first suction passage through which fuel flows from outside the sub-tank into at least one of the plurality of pump chambers. The fuel feed apparatus further includes an elastic member that seals between the first suction passage and the sub-tank.
