A resin-framed membrane electrode assembly for a fuel cell includes a stepped membrane electrode assembly and a resin frame member. The stepped membrane electrode assembly includes a solid polymer electrolyte membrane, an anode electrode, and a cathode electrode. The resin frame member surrounds an outer periphery of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane and includes an inner protruding portion that protrudes from an inner peripheral base portion toward the cathode electrode and that has a thickness. The inner protruding portion has an adhesive application portion to which an adhesive is applied so as to surround a part of the inner protruding portion. The part is in contact with the stepped membrane electrode assembly. A thickness of a cathode diffusion layer is larger than a thickness of an anode diffusion layer.

Resin-framed membrane electrode assembly for fuel cell

A pesticidal/ovicidal composition comprising: (a) 50-99.9 parts by mass of a triglyceride containing not less than 50% of oleic acid as a fatty acid component; (b) 0.1-20 parts by mass of a nonionic surface active agent; and (c) 0-30 parts by mass of a glycerin derivative. The composition according to the invention has not only a pesticidal activity but also an ovicidal activity on crop pests, and provides a safe and high pesticidal/ovicidal effect.

A membrane electrode assembly with protective film includes a MEA and protective films. The MEA includes a cathode, an anode, and a solid polymer electrolyte membrane interposed between the cathode and the anode. The protective films are joined on the outer end of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane. The membrane electrode assembly has a power generation area and an edge-vicinity area. Recesses for receiving the edge-vicinity area including outer ends of the cathode and the anode are formed in outer portions of a cathode-side separator and an anode-side separator which contact the MEA.

An intermediate layer is continuously arranged: between an outer peripheral end portion of the cathode-side electrode and a first inner peripheral end portion of the resin frame member; on an outer peripheral end portion of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane, said outer peripheral end portion being exposed outside the outer peripheral end portion of the cathode-side electrode; and between an outer peripheral end portion of the anode-side electrode and a second inner peripheral end portion of the resin frame member.

Electrolyte membrane-electrode structure with resin frame for fuel cells

A membrane electrode assembly includes an MEA structure unit and a resin frame member. The MEA structure unit includes a cathode, an anode, and a solid polymer electrolyte membrane interposed between the cathode and the anode. The resin frame member is formed around the MEA structure unit, and joined to the MEA structure unit. An adhesive layer is provided between an outer marginal portion of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane extending outward beyond an outer end of a second gas diffusion layer and an inner extension of the resin frame member. The adhesive layer includes an overlapped portion overlapped on an outer marginal end of the second gas diffusion layer.

Fuel cell membrane electrode assembly

Disclosed is a fuel cell in which an electrolyte membrane-electrode structure is held between the first separator and a second separator. The electrolyte membrane-electrode structure comprises a solid polymer electrolyte membrane, a cathode-side electrode and an anode-side electrode. An end portion of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane projects outwardly beyond end portions of gas diffusion layers, and the both surfaces of the end portion of the solid polymer electrolyte membrane are held between the first protective film and a second protective film. The thickness of the first protective film is set to be thinner than the thickness of the second protective film.

Fuel cell with an electrolyte membrane and gas diffusion layers

A fuel cell includes a membrane electrode assembly, a first separator, and a second separator. The membrane electrode assembly includes a solid polymer electrolyte membrane, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a resin frame member. The membrane electrode assembly includes a power generation section and a stepped section. The power generation section is located in an interior space of the resin frame member. The solid polymer electrolyte membrane is provided between the first electrode and the second electrode in the power generation section. The stepped section is located on an outer side of the first electrode. The solid polymer electrolyte membrane is provided between the second electrode and the resin frame member in the stepped section. A magnitude of an interference in the stepped section is set to be smaller than a magnitude of an interference in the power generation section.

Fuel cell

An adhesive suitable for solid polymer fuel cells is provided that has sufficient bond durability, so that the solid polymer electrolyte membrane and the gas diffusion layer do not separate, even with the solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell repeatedly wetting and drying, and changing in dimension. An adhesive including a base compound, a cross-linking agent, an adhesion promoting agent, and a reaction catalyst is employed using a specific base compound having alkenyl groups, and a specific cross-linking agent having Si&#x2014;H groups, in which the ratio of moles of the above Si&#x2014;H group relative to moles of the above alkenyl group (moles of Si&#x2014;H group/moles of alkenyl group) is adjusted to the range of 1.0 to 5.0.

An image forming apparatus having; a photoconductive drum, a LED print head to write an image on a surface of the photoconductive drum, and a positioning device to locate the LED print head in a relative position in respect to the photoconductive drum, includes; centering sections respectively arranged at both ends of a center shaft of the photoconductive drum so as to rotate centering around the shaft thereof, LED print head positioning members fixed at the centering member respectively, and a rotation direction determination member to fix the centering members onto an image forming apparatus main body side when a preferable relative position of the LED print head in respect to the photoconductive drum is obtained by rotating the centering sections.
