An optical pickup apparatus comprising: a photo detector configured to receive light reflected from a medium; a housing mounted with the photo detector; and a projecting portion projecting from the housing, the projecting portion including a displacement preventer configured to prevent displacement of the photo detector or an adhesive relative to the housing, the displacement preventer including a fixing portion formed to extend along a plurality of directions, the photo detector being provided on the housing by applying the adhesive to the displacement preventer.

Optical pickup apparatus

An optical pickup apparatus comprises a photo detector that receives light reflected from a medium; and a housing that is mounted with the photo detector. The photo detector is fixed to the housing with the use of an adhesive to mount the photo detector on the housing. The housing is provided with a displacement preventer that prevents displacement of the photo detector or the adhesive relative to the housing. The displacement preventer has fixing portions that extend along a plurality of directions. The photo detector is mounted on the housing by applying the adhesive to the displacement preventer.

An optical pickup device comprises a light emitting element for emitting a laser beam, and a housing in which the light emitting element is mounted, wherein the light emitting element is contained in a holder for protecting the light emitting device, the holder including a projecting portion for dissipating heat generated by the light emitting element, and the projecting portion is located within the housing. Thus, an optical pickup device having a light emitting element held in a holder which is superior in heat dissipation and is resistant to damage can be provided.

An optical pickup device comprises a photodetector for receiving laser light reflected from a disc and a housing in which the photodetector is housed, and the photodetector is directly attached to the housing. Through the use of the optical pickup device, occurrence of positional deviation of the photodetector can be suppressed, even under greatly changing temperatures.
