Plural conveying paths including guide plates are arranged on both sides of a sheet in its thickness direction, being linked from an upstream side to a downstream side in a conveying direction of the sheet. A stopper is arranged in at least one of the conveying paths to make contact with a leading edge of the sheet conveyed through the conveying paths thereby stopping the sheet and forming a bending portion at the sheet. A pair of folding rollers is arranged between the conveying paths to nip the bending portion of the sheet to form a folding line at the sheet. An adjusting member is provided on the guide plates to adjust a space between the guide plates.

A sheet processing apparatus includes a folding unit that folds a sheet, a sheet storing unit that stores the sheet folded by the folding unit, a post-processing unit that performs a non-fold process on the sheet transported from the folding unit, a path select unit that switches the sheet destination to the sheet storing unit or the post-processing unit, and a control unit that detects whether there is a fold process command and/or a non-fold process command, and controls the path select unit according to the detecting result. A coordinate inputting/detecting apparatus in which a designating device for designating a position in a flat or substantially flat two-dimensional coordinate inputting/detecting area of the coordinate inputting/detecting apparatus is judged as located in a predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area when an optical detection signal of an optical unit, that optically detects the designating device inserted into the predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area, exceeds a first predetermined threshold value. Whether or not the designating device has been inserted into the predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area is judged and coordinates of the position in the coordinate inputting/detecting area, designated by the designating device inserted in the predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area, are recognized in accordance with the optical detection signal of the optical unit. A second threshold value is used in recognizing the coordinates of the position in the coordinate inputting/detecting area, designated by the designating device inserted in the predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area. The second threshold value is set to be higher than the first threshold value used in judging if the designating device has been inserted into the predetermined range of the coordinate inputting/detecting area.

Coordinate inputting/detecting apparatus and method designed to avoid a trailing phenomenon

The coordinate-position input device has a frame with a reflecting member for recursively reflecting light provided in an inner side from four edges of the frame forming a rectangular form. Two optical units irradiate light to the reflecting members and receive the reflected light. With the mounting member(s) the frame can be detachably attached to a white board. The two optical units are located at both ends of any one of frame edges forming the frame, and at the same time the two optical units and the frame body are integrated to each other.

Method and device for inputting coordinate-position and a display board system

A coordinate input/detection device compares a waveform of a signal corresponding to intensity distribution of rays received from a coordinate input area by a light-receiving unit and a standard waveform at fixed timing. If the waveform is not equal to the standard waveform, the coordinate input/detection device determines that an installation position of the light-receiving unit is off a correct position because of shock or vibration, and obtains a new standard waveform and stores the new standard waveform in a storage unit, thereby setting the waveform of the signal corresponding to the intensity distribution of rays received by the light-receiving unit located at an incorrect position as the standard waveform. Accordingly, there is no error in relative positions of a peak point corresponding to a standard mark, that is, a standard for detecting coordinates of a pointing instrument in the coordinate input area, and a peak point corresponding to the pointing instrument in the intensity distribution, thereby preventing misdetection of the coordinates.

Optical coordinate input/detection device with optical-unit positioning error correcting function

A coordinate input/detection device is provided with a coordinate input area. The coordinate input/detection device uses first and second light-emitting units to emit light to a plurality of retro reflectors provided around the coordinate input area. The plurality of retro reflectors reflect the light from the first light-emitting unit toward a first light-receiving unit provided at one of first and second positions, and the light from the second light-emitting unit toward a second light-receiving unit provided at the other position among the first and second positions, the first and second light-receiving units corresponding to the first and second positions respectively. A position recognition unit recognizes whether each of the first and second light-receiving units is installed at the first position or the second position, based on an output signal of each of the first and second light-receiving units. Additionally, a coordinate detection unit detects coordinates of a pointing unit inserted to the coordinate input area, based on output signals of said first and second light-receiving units.

Coordinate input/detection device detecting installation position of light-receiving device used for detecting coordinates

A coordinate input apparatus includes light sources, a reflecting member, light receiving members, a signal analyzing mechanism, and a coordinate determining mechanism. Each light source is fixed around a perimeter of a predefined input region at a fixing position different from others and is configured to emit light extending in a deltaic form centered at the fixing position and approximately in parallel to the input region. The reflecting member is fixed around the perimeter of the input region and is configured to recursively reflect the light so that the light returns towards the light sources. The light receiving members are fixed around the perimeter of the input region and are configured to receive the light recursively reflected from the reflecting member and to convert the light into an electric signal. The signal analyzing mechanism analyzes the electric signal to detect a position of an obstacle when the obstacle is placed in the input region and blocks the light. The coordinate determining mechanism calculates a center between coordinates of one and the other edges of the obstacle and determines the center as a coordinate of the position of the obstacle in the input region.

Method and apparatus for coordinate inputting capable of effectively using a laser ray

A coordinates input device comprises, two optical units which emit a light flux onto a panel and also receive the light flux. The coordinates input device then calculates the coordinates of an obstacle in the light flux on the panel based on the result of light flux detection in the optical units and the dimensions of the panel. The coordinates input device further comprises a sound-wave generator and a sound-wave detector for measuring the dimensions, used in the calculation of the coordinates, of the panel.

Coordinates input device, coordinates input method, a display board system

A coordinates detection apparatus comprises two optical units each having a light emitter, a diffusion lens, a read lens, and a light-receiver. The optical units are provided at different positions on the border of a display surface. The light-emitter and light-receiver in each optical unit are so located that their optic axes are coincident. A recursive reflection section reflects the light emitted from the light-emitter and diffused by the diffusion lens in a fan form towards the light-emitter. The coordinates of a point specified on the display surface are detected by focusing the light reflected on the reflection section with the read lens, receiving the reflected light with the light-receiver, and determining the position where reception of the light is hindered.

Coordinates detection apparatus

The coordinates inputting apparatus comprises two light sources provided on different positions on the touch panel, reflection members which recursively reflect the light, and light-receiving sections which receive the light and detect whether the light was cut at certain position on the touch panel. The light sources output the light at certain angle with the touch panel surface (that is, the light is not parallel to the touch panel). The light output from the light source is reflected by the touch panel, then recursively reflected by the reflection members, once more reflected by the touch panel and finally enters into light-receiving sections.

Method and apparatus for inputting coordinates

A coordinate-position detecting device comprising a white board as a coordinate-position entry area, and three reflecting members each for recursively reflecting light from two optical units. The angle between the write-in surface of the white board and the reflecting surface of the reflecting member at the bottom is an obtuse angle. Further, of angles obtained by dividing the above angle by a horizontal surface, the angle between the horizontal surface and the reflecting surface is an acute angle.
