A fluid pressure cylinder is equipped with a piston rod connected coaxially with a piston and which slides linearly in the interior of a body. A cutout recess having a predetermined length along an axial direction of the piston rod is formed on a side surface of the piston rod. A planar bearing is provided, which projects toward the cutout recess from an inner surface of the body, and includes a distal end surface that abuts on the same plane with a bottom surface of the cutout recess.

A welding gun includes a driving-force transmission mechanism which converts linear displacement of an output unit of a driving unit into rotational displacement of a clamping arm. The driving-force transmission mechanism includes: an inclined part which is integrally displaced with the linear displacement of the output unit, and which is inclined with respect to the displacement direction of the output unit; and a part to be pressed which is pressed by the inclined part. The clamping arm rotates in accordance with movement of the part to be pressed which is pressed by the displaced inclined part, and generates clamping force.

A clamp apparatus includes a support body that projects in a sideways direction of a body, together with a clamp arm, which is disposed rotatably in facing relation to the support body. On the support body, a support member, which extends in a horizontal direction, is disposed detachably with respect to a coupling hole of the body, whereas a connecting body, which interconnects a pair of arm members, is disposed detachably on an end of the clamp arm. A clamp release mechanism, which releases a clamped state when the clamp arm is locked, is disposed in the body, and is configured to press a joint of a driving force transmission mechanism that is accommodated in the body toward the side of a drive unit.

A locating and clamping apparatus can prevent spatter from entering the clamp body through a spatter discharge hole. A longitudinal groove is formed in a side surface of the clamp body so as to communicate with both a spatter discharge hole and a hole for supporting a fulcrum pin. A spatter protecting cover having an upper cover member and a lower cover member is fitted in the longitudinal groove. The upper cover member of the spatter protecting cover prevents the fulcrum pin from coming off, and the lower cover member of the spatter protecting cover opens or closes the spatter discharge hole.
