A signal processing device includes: an amplitude reducing unit to reduce, when a phase shift control signal indicating a phase shift of a transmission wave whose frequency is modulated is output, among amplitudes of a beat signal having a difference frequency between the transmission wave and a reception wave, an amplitude of the beat signal at a timing at which a phase of the transmission wave is shifted in accordance with the phase shift control signal; and a signal converting unit to convert the beat signal whose amplitude at the timing at which the phase of the transmission wave is shifted is reduced by the amplitude reducing unit into a signal in a frequency domain.

A frequency detection circuit includes: a first signal source for outputting a first clock signal; a second signal source for outputting a second clock signal having the same frequency as but a different phase from those of the first clock signal; a first sample hold circuit for undersampling a reception signal using the first clock signal; a second sample hold circuit for undersampling the reception signal using the second clock signal; and a frequency calculating circuit for calculating the frequency of the reception signal using a phase difference between output signals of the first sample hold circuit and the second sample hold circuit.

A local oscillation device according to the present invention includes: a first local oscillator to output a first local oscillation wave synchronized with a reference signal, the first local oscillator being turned on/off on the basis of a control signal; a second local oscillator to output a second local oscillation wave synchronized with the reference signal and the same in frequency and phase as the first local oscillation wave, the second local oscillator being turned on/off on the basis of the control signal; and a path switching circuit coupled to the first local oscillator and the second local oscillator, the path switching circuit switching paths of the first local oscillation wave and the second local oscillation wave on the basis of the control signal or a signal synchronized with the control signal.

Local oscillation device and array antenna device

As a layout requirement imposed on an in-phase corporate-feed circuit, there is provided only a layout requirement to equalize the electric length of a transmission line () between one of N T-branch units () which is m-th when counted from a start point of a path A, and another one of the T-branch units () which is (m+1)-th when counted from the start point of the path A, to that of a transmission line () between one of N T-branch units () which is m-th when counted from an end point of a path B, and another one of the T-branch units () which is (m+1)-th when counted from the end point of the path B. Therefore, the in-phase corporate-feed circuit can be formed in a space smaller than that in which its circuit configuration of tournament type is formed, and downsizing of the circuit size can be achieved.

In-phase corporate-feed circuit and array antenna apparatus

Included are a first signal exchanger for exchanging a TXI signal and a TXQ signal output from a transmission baseband unit to signal paths and a TX control unit for controlling generation of the TXI signal and the TXQ signal in the transmission baseband unit on the basis of a measurement result of a reception baseband unit before and after exchange of the signals by the first signal exchanger. As a result, a transceiver only needs to have a single local signal generating unit mounted thereon as a local signal generating unit that is an analog circuit.

Transceiver

A problem with conventional distortion pulse shift circuits is that the output timing of a pulse signal cannot be controlled unless a reset signal is used. A pulse shift circuit according to the present invention includes: an integrator to integrate, for every clock, the first signal to be inputted; a quantizer to receive the second signal and to output a pulse signal when an integrated value of the integrator becomes equal to or larger than a signal value of the second signal; a delay circuit to delay the pulse signal; a converter disposed before or after the delay circuit to convert a signal value of the pulse signal into the signal value of the second signal; a subtractor to subtract the signal value of the pulse signal converted by the converter, from the signal value of the first signal to be inputted to the integrator; and an input signal control circuit to receive a third signal, to be disposed before the integrator, and to add a signal value corresponding to the third signal to the first signal to be inputted to the integrator or to block the first signal from being inputted to the integrator for clocks corresponding to the third signal.

Pulse shift circuit and frequency synthesizer

Filter circuitry is constituted by transversal filters which are connected in parallel to each other. The transversal filters change amplitude and a phase of an input digital signal X[n&#xb7;T] and output different digital signals X[n&#xb7;T], X[n&#xb7;T], and X[n&#xb7;T] as respective resulting digital signals whose amplitude and phase have been changed. A phase frequency computer computes a phase &#x3b8;[n&#xb7;T] and a frequency f[n&#xb7;T] of the input digital signal X[n&#xb7;T] by performing phase computation and frequency computation using the digital signals X[n&#xb7;T], X[n&#xb7;T], and X[n&#xb7;T] output by the transversal filters.

Phase frequency detection device

A signal transmission system has a modulation signal converterthat generates a modulation signal using a Manchester code with a duty ratio of 50% in accordance with transmission data; a clock generatorthat generates a clock with the amount of delay with respect to the rising or falling edge of the modulation signal; and a data detectorthat generates received data by sampling the modulation signal in synchronization with the clock. Since the modulation signal convertergenerates the modulation signal by combining the Manchester code with the duty ratio of 50%, its duty ratio is always 50% independently of the transmission data, thereby preventing the DC offset of the modulation signal on the receiving side. Accordingly, it offers an advantage of achieving good communication quality with a simple circuit configuration without producing the DC offset in the modulation signal on the receiving side.

An array antenna apparatus in which an SN ratio is improved. Antenna elements having transmission modules, respectively, are arranged in plurality, wherein the plurality of transmission modules respectively have transmission signal generators that each output a transmission intermediate frequency signal, local oscillation signal generators that each output a local oscillation signal, and transmission mixers that each mix the transmission intermediate frequency signal and the local oscillation signal with each other, thereby to carry out frequency conversion to a transmission high frequency signal. A reference signal source inputs a reference signal to the transmission signal generators and the local oscillation signal generators. The transmission intermediate frequency signal and the local oscillation signal are synchronized with each other by the reference signal.

Array antenna apparatus

A signal source synchronization circuit includes: a first TDC circuit that measures a first path delay time which is a time difference between an input time of a trigger signal to a first input terminal and an input time of the trigger signal to a second input terminal; and a second TDC circuit that measures a second path delay time which is a time difference between an input time of the trigger signal to a first input terminal and an input time of the trigger signal to a second input terminal, wherein a first phase shifter adjustment circuit sets a phase adjustment amount corresponding to the first path delay time in a first phase shifter, and a second phase shifter adjustment circuit sets a phase adjustment amount corresponding to the second path delay time in a second phase shifter.

Signal source synchronization circuit

A multiport amplifier and a wireless device using the same are obtained in which isolation among output terminals is improved, whereby the quality of communication is improved. The multiport amplifier includes an input hybrid, an output hybrid, a plurality of amplifiers and a plurality of gain and phase control circuits that are inserted between the input hybrid and the output hybrid, a plurality of output coupling circuits that are inserted between the output hybrid and a plurality of output terminals so that they receive output extraction signals corresponding to a plurality of output signals, and a feedback circuit including a frequency selection circuit that is inserted between the plurality of output coupling circuits and the plurality of gain and phase control circuits.

Provided is a phase-locked loop frequency synthesizer, including: a reference oscillator; a voltage controlled oscillator; a variable frequency divider that divides the high frequency signal in frequency to output a feedback signal; a phase comparator that compares the reference signal and the feedback signal with each other to output a phase comparison signal; a loop filter that outputs a control signal of the voltage controlled oscillator based on the phase comparison signal; and a frequency/phase control circuit that generates frequency division number control data in synchronism with any one of the feedback signal and the reference signal based on setting data which is input from an external to give an output frequency and setting data which is input from the external to give a phase to the reference signal, to thereby output the frequency division number control data to the variable frequency divider.

A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel where a image display cell region and a plurality of dummy cell regions are provided on a glass substrate. The dummy cells are formed to monitor the internal pressure of liquid crystal sealed in the image display cell region. Liquid crystal is dropped on the image display cell region and the dummy cell regions and the glass substrate and a second substrate are bonded together. The image display cell and the dummy cells, which have the liquid crystal sealed therein, are formed in the image display cell region and the dummy cell regions, respectively. Based on the results of monitoring states of the dummy cells thus formed, a state of the image display cell is estimated.
