According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes an indexing module, a first playback module, a first image select module, an image extraction module, and a second playback module. The indexing module is configured to generate index information indicative of attributes of a plurality of still images. The first playback module is configured to play back a first moving picture by using the plurality of still images. The first image select module is configured to select a first still image from the plurality of still images. The image extraction module is configured to extract a still image group including still images relevant to the first still image, based on the index information. The second playback module is configured to play back, in place of the first moving picture, a second moving picture by using the still image group.

Electronic apparatus and image processing method

In one embodiment, there is provided an electronic device. The electronic device includes: a first generator configured to generate a first image display mode in which image processing including at least one of an effect processing and a transition processing is applied to one or more still images based on image features of the still images; a second generator configured to generate a second image display mode in which one or more still images are switched over successively; and a switching module configured to output any one of the first and second image display modes and switch between the first image display mode and the second image display mode.

Multi image-output display mode apparatus and method

According to one embodiment, an indexing module is configured to analyze a plurality of still images and to generate index information indicative of attributes of the plurality of still images. The index information comprises recognition results of a plurality of face images in the plurality of still images. An extracting module is configured to extract first still images and second still images from the plurality of still images based on the index information. The first still images include face images of a selected person, the second still images are relevant to the selected person, and the second still images comprise at least a still image including a face image of another person relevant to the selected person. A player module is configured to play back a movie using the extracted first still images and the extracted second still images.

According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes an indexing module, a select module, a first image extraction module and a playback module. The indexing module is configured to generate index information indicative of attributes of a plurality of still images. The select module is configured to select a style. The first image extraction module is configured to extract a first still image group from the plurality of still images corresponding to the style, based on the index information. The playback module is configured to play back a moving picture by using the first still image group.

According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a viewer image generating module, a viewer recognition module, a group extraction module, and an image display module. The viewer image generating module generates an image of a viewer by capturing the image of the viewer. The viewer recognition module detects a face image in the generated image and recognizes the viewer corresponding to the detected face image. The group extraction module extracts, from a plurality of groups each including still images, groups including at least one of a still image including the face image of the viewer and a still image imported by the viewer. The image display module displays still images in the extracted groups on a screen.

Electronic apparatus and image display method

When groups of coordinates of face areas respectively contained in mutually different frames are within a predetermined error range, a face attribute assigning unit assigns mutually the same face attribute value to each of the face areas. In the case where a difference in the feature amounts between the frames is within a predetermined error range, a similar shot detecting unit detects that the shots from which the frames have respectively been extracted are similar shots to each of which mutually the same shot attribute value is assigned. According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus displays face images in each column of a plurality of face image display areas arranged in a matrix based on time stamp information, and displays thumbnail images in time-series in a thumbnail display area arranged at one side of a lower side or an upper side in the two dimensional display area. The apparatus displays one of the thumbnail images with a normal size and displays the others such that the lateral direction sizes are reduced in comparison with that of the thumbnail displayed in the normal size. And, the apparatus performs display control of the plurality of face images so as to make face images having times in a section corresponding to a selected thumbnail image as time stamp information distinguishable from the others, when the thumbnail image in the thumbnail display area is selected.
