An envelope filling apparatus inserts a sheet of paper into an envelope having a flap, and includes an envelope feed device, an air nozzle for blowing air into the envelope fed by the envelope feed device from an open end of the envelope to open the open end, and a sensing device for detecting that the open end of the envelope is opened. The apparatus further includes an insertion device for inserting the sheet of paper into the envelope from the open end, if the sensing device detects that the open end of the envelope is opened after the air nozzle is actuated, and a removal device for removing the envelope from a transport route, if the sensing device does not detect that the open end of the envelope is opened after the air nozzle is actuated and the insertion device is not actuated.

Envelope filling apparatus

A heat-sensitive stencil sheet consisting of a porous substrate and a thermoplastic film adhered to the substrate is provided without no use of an adhesive. The porous substrate comprises a screen cloth wholly or partially consisting of conjugate fibers (a sheath-core type or a side-by-side type) one exposed component of which has an affinity with the thermoplastic resin film and having a melting point lower than that of the other component of the conjugate fiber and lower than that of the thermoplastic resin, and the screen cloth is adhered to the thermoplastic resin film through the exposed component. The heat-sensitive stencil sheet can be produced by superposing the thermoplastic resin film on the substrate and heating under pressure the superposed film and substrate at the softening point or higher of the above exposed component of the conjugate fiber and at a temperature lower than the melting point of the other component of the conjugate fiber and lower than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin.

A timer apparatus in which a stored reservation date to record a program and the present date are compared and when the reserved date is past the present date the reserved date is automatically changed to the nearest future date of the same day of the week, so that user efforts are simplified and required memory space is decreased. When it is necessary to make a change in the date or day of the week being displayed, by repeating a plurality of selected display patterns within a predetermined time period it appears to the user that the date or the day of the week is being continuously and sequentially changed at a high speed, whereas only the selected patterns are being sequentially displayed.
