A vehicle seat is provided in which a pressure-receiving member receiving the back of an occupant through an upper linking wire is supported on a seat back frame of a seat back, and an abutment member is provided on the pressure-receiving member, the abutment member restricting an amount of flexing of the pressure-receiving member by abutting against the upper linking wire when the amount of flexing exceeds a predetermined amount. This enables the amount of flexing of the pressure-receiving member for supporting the back of the occupant to be restricted, thereby stabilizing the support of the occupant.

Vehicle seat

A seat back frame for the vehicle seat, includes a pair of side frames that are disposed on both sides in a seat width direction; and a supporting plate that has both ends connected to a bottom section of each of the side frames, wherein the supporting plate is at least disposed along an interval between a first height that corresponds to an upper part of a lumbar vertebra of an occupant seated in the seat and a second height that corresponds to a lower part of the lumbar vertebra, and curves in a manner such that, in a cross-section along with a vertical direction, the supporting plate bulges forward along a line from the first height to the second height.

Seat back frame for vehicle seat

A seat back frame for a seat of a vehicle includes: a pair of side frames placed at a left side and a right side in a width direction of a seat; a head rest supporting frame supporting a head rest; a supporting plate, a both ends of the supporting plate being connected to a lower portion of each of the side frames; an upper opening provided above the supporting plate, the upper opening being opened in a front-rear direction; a planar elastic body provided across the upper opening; and a connection member elastically connecting a lower portion of the planar elastic body and an upper portion of the supporting plate.

Seat back frame

The seat belt device includes a first unit, a second unit, seat belt webbing, a spindle, a first pretensioner, a second pretensioner, and a controller. The first unit determines a possible collision of an automobile in response to a manipulation of the automobile by a driver. The second unit detects the collision of the automobile. The first pretensioner has a motor to rotate in response to a signal indicative of the possible collision determined by the first unit. The second pretensioner is pyrotechnically driven to rotate in response to a signal indicative of the collision detected by the second unit. The controller is configured to cancel an operation of the first pretensioner after an activation of the second pretensioner. The first pretensioner includes a limiter for restricting the motor from transmitting a driving force to the spindle exceeding a predetermined threshold.

Seat belt device

A seat belt device includes a shoulder belt portion for restraining the front portion of the upper half of the body of a passenger seated in an associated seat, a lap belt portion for restraining the thighs of the passenger, and a thigh belt portion which extends across a seat cushion of the associated seat so as to be disposed under the thighs of the passenger in use, and which is provided for restraining the thighs of the passenger together with the lap belt portion.

Seat belt device for automobile

An air bag system which is housed in an instrument panel and in which an inflator is ignited by a signal from an acceleration sensor at the time of frontal collision of a vehicle, whereby an air bag is deployed by gas generated so as to restrain a front seat occupant, the air bag having an opening through which the generated gas is allowed to flow into the air bag, an occupant restraint portion, a gas flow path portion between the opening and the occupant restraint portion, and at least one penetrating portion or joint portion located within the air bag for dividing the gas flow path portion into multiple flow paths.

Air bag system

In an air bag system in which an air bag is placed under an upper surface of an instrument panel for restraining a passenger by igniting an inflator by a signal from an acceleration sensor when a vehicle is crashed and deploying the air bag with gas generated by the ignition of the inflator, a method for forming a pocket in a lower surface of the air bag when it is inflated.

A folded-up air bag is accommodated in a module cover of a steering wheel, and a peripheral edge of an opening in the air bag is fixed to a retainer supporting an inflator. The folded-up air bag is covered from a rear side of a vehicle to a front side of the vehicle by a deployment-limiting sheet disposed along an inner surface of the module cover and fixed at one end thereof to the retainer. The deployment-limiting sheet is longer than a length of an inner periphery of the module cover in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. Thus, it is possible to inhibit the air bag from being expanded rearwards of the vehicle body at an initial stage of deployment by the deployment-limiting sheet, thereby avoiding the early interference with an occupant.
