A sound output device according to an embodiment includes: an acoustic path () and a microphone (). The acoustic path connects a first space () formed on a front surface of a driver unit () and the outside of a housing () including the driver unit separately from a second space () formed on a back surface of the driver unit. The microphone is disposed in the vicinity of an opening where the acoustic path is connected to the outside of the housing.

Sound output device

The problem to be solved is to improve a noise cancelling function. A detection microphone, a speaker, and a housing are included. The detection microphone detects noise and has an input vibrating plate. The speaker has an output vibrating plate. The housing accommodates at least the speaker and the detection microphone therein. The input vibrating plate and the output vibrating plate are disposed approximately in the same orientation. This ensures that a sound is output from the speaker while a sound is input to the detection microphone with the input vibrating plate and the output vibrating plate facing each other, thus making it possible to bring the input vibrating plate and the output vibrating plate closer to each other. As a result, it is less likely for a phase lag to take place between the sound output from the speaker and the sound input to the detection microphone, thus providing higher noise detection accuracy of the detection microphone and contributing to an improved noise cancelling function.

Acoustic output apparatus

There is provided a headphone device including: an external magnet type magnet unit that is disposed outside a voice coil, and vibrates the voice coil; and a diaphragm that is vibrated by vibration of the voice coil, and formed of a material in which a dome section having an outward concave shape on an inner circumference of the voice coil is continuous with an edge section outside the voice coil.

There is provided a headphone device including a first housing and a second housing; a headband connected to the first and second housings; a first headphone unit and a second headphone unit disposed in the first and second housings, respectively; a first microphone and a second microphone arranged in the vicinity of the first and second headphone units; and a signal processing unit disposed in the first housing for processing input audio signals from the outside and microphone signals detected by the first and second microphones, and generating first and second noise-canceled audio signals to be supplied to the first and second headphone units.
