A head unit to be mounted in a liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a liquid ejecting section; a first flexible substrate that transmits the electrical signal to a joining terminal of the piezoelectric element; and a second flexible substrate that transmits the electrical signal to the first flexible substrate. The second flexible substrate includes: a first region having a stack of the cover member, the conductive member, and the base member; and a second region having a stack of the conductive member and the base member. The second flexible substrate has a surface on which a terminal is disposed within the second region, the terminal being joined to the first flexible substrate with solder.

Head unit and liquid ejecting apparatus

A printing apparatus includes a printing material containerincluding a storage device, a plurality of storage device terminals, a first and a second individual mounting detection terminal DT, DT, a first and a second cartridge out detection terminal CO, CO; an individual mounting detection portion; a cartridge out detection portion; a storage portion; and a controller. In an energy-saving mode, the controllersets the individual mounting detection portionto a disabled state and sets the cartridge out detection portionto an enabled state, and if the cartridge out detection portiondetects a cartridge out state, writes that detection result to the storage portion.

Printing apparatus

A liquid consumption device includes a communication processing part that performs a communication process with a memory device provided in a liquid container and stores a container side liquid consumption information, a memory part that stores a main body side liquid consumption information, and a processing part. The processing part reads the main body side liquid consumption from the memory part, performs a process of counting the liquid consumption amount, updates the main side liquid consumption information based on the counted liquid consumption amount, performs a comparison process between the liquid consumption amount in the main body side and the liquid consumption amount in the liquid container side, and when an increment of the liquid consumption amount in the main body to the liquid consumption amount in a container side is greater than a determination threshold value of an allowable increment, the processing part determines as an error.

Liquid consumption device, program, and printing device

A high-speed serial interface circuit includes a data receiver circuit, a clock signal receiver circuit, a logic circuit block that includes at least a serial/parallel conversion circuit, a free-running clock signal generation circuit, a clock signal detection circuit, and an output mask circuit. The clock signal detection circuit compares a received clock signal from the clock signal receiver circuit with a free-running clock signal from the free-running clock signal generation circuit to detect whether or not clock signals are transferred through differential clock signal lines. When the clock signal detection circuit has detected that the clock signals are not transferred through the differential clock signal lines, the output mask circuit masks an output signal from the logic circuit block so that the output signal is not transmitted to a circuit in the subsequent stage. The present invention can prevent a partial characteristic variation by NBTI by inputting a free-running clock into a logic block, and operating it.
