An optical connector according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises (a) a ferrule incorporating a short fiber; (b) a mechanical splice having a holding part and a fixing part, and adapted so that the fixing part mechanically fixes the short fiber extending from the ferrule held by the holding part, and an optical fiber in an optical cable to butt the short fiber; (c) an outer housing having a housing part in which the mechanical splice is located, and a pair of flexible arms located on both sides of the housing part, the pair of arms each being provided with a locking claw at a tip; and (d) a jacket fixture for fixing a cable jacket, the jacket fixture being coupled to the mechanical splice so that the cable jacket is inserted therein.

Optical connector, and method of assembling optical connector

A straight type optical connector enables a splicing operation of an optical fiber cable accurately and stably without requiring skilled labor and having a superior on-site installation property. An optical connector is provided with a splicing section for securely supporting an incorporated optical fiber securely supported at a ferrule and an optical fiber of an outside optical fiber cable in an end-abutting condition. The body of the optical connector is provided with a cable holding member able to hold an optical fiber cable. The cable holding member can be set at a temporary position where it makes an optical fiber of the optical fiber cable abut against the incorporated optical fiber at the splicing section in the state holding the optical fiber cable and bends a covered optical fiber of the optical fiber cable between the splicing section and the cable holding member by a pressing force in the lengthwise direction.

Optical connector and optical fiber connecting system

An angle type optical connector enables a splicing operation of an optical fiber cable accurately and stably without requiring skilled labor and having a superior on-site installation property. An optical connector is provided with a splicing section for securely supporting an incorporated optical fiber securely supported at a ferrule and an optical fiber of an outside optical fiber cable in an end-abutting condition. The body of the optical connector is provided with a cable holding member able to hold an optical fiber cable. The cable holding member can be set at a temporary position where it makes an optical fiber of the optical fiber cable abut against the incorporated optical fiber at the splicing section in the state holding the optical fiber cable and bends a covered optical fiber of the optical fiber cable between the splicing section and the cable holding member by a pressing force in the lengthwise direction.

An optical connector includes a connector body that has a first optical fiber housed in advance in a ferrule so as to project from a back end of the ferrule opposite to the connecting end surface and an anchoring fixture that anchors a second optical fiber that is to be optically connected to the first optical fiber, and by pressing the anchoring fixture into the connector body while the second optical fiber is anchored in this anchoring fixture, the anchoring fixture and the connector body are connected to optically connect the first optical fiber and the second optical fiber, and the connecting portion that connects the anchoring fixture and the connector body form a movable connecting portion that is adapted to vary the direction of the anchoring fixture with respect to the connector body.

Optical connector

A timer display apparatus is disclosed which has a timer time display member, a memory capable of memorizing a plurality of timer times and a discriminating circuit which compares the memorized timer times in the memory with the present or instant time and then discriminates the timer time of the memorized timer times nearest but after the instant time. Then, based upon the output from the discriminating circuit, the timer time nearest but after the instant time is read out from the memory and displayed on the timer time display member.

Timer display apparatus

A presettable tuning apparatus includes a digital tuner; a source of digital signals representing radio frequencies to which the tuning apparatus is respectively tuned; an addressable memory having a plurality of sequentially addressable storage locations therein for storing selected ones of the digital signals; write-in circuitry for selectively writing the digital signals from the source into selected ones of the storage locations in the memory; a comparator circuit for comparing the digital signals stored in an adjacent pair of the sequentially addressable storage locations and providing a control signal indicating the relative values of the frequencies represented by such digital signals; and circuitry for replacing the digital signals stored in the pair of storage locations with one another when the control signal indicates that the frequency represented by the digital signal stored in the lower-address one of the pair of storage locations is higher than that represented by the signal stored in the higher-address one of the pair. The apparatus thereby automatically rearranges the particular storage locations in which the digital signals are stored so that the order of the frequencies represented thereby corresponds to the sequential order of the storage locations, notwithstanding that the digital signals can be written at random into the addressable memory.
