Disclosed is an optical receiver. The optical receiver includes a circuit board, a base member, a photodetector mounted on the base member, a transimpedance amplifier, and a capacitor. The base member is disposed between a first grounding pattern and a second grounding pattern on a first side of the circuit board. The transimpedance amplifier is mounted on the first grounding pattern. The capacitor is mounted on the second grounding pattern. The first wiring pattern and the second wiring pattern are apart from both the first grounding pattern and the second grounding pattern in a plan view of the first side. The first grounding pattern is electrically connected to the second grounding pattern through a grounding pattern formed on the first side.

Optical receiver

An optical receiver includes: an optical stub which includes an optical fiber; an optical demultiplexer; a plurality of photo detectors; a TIA; an optical block including a first concavity, a second concavity, a first reflective plane, a second reflective plane, and a third reflective plane, the first concavity being configured to hold the optical stub, the second concavity being configured to accommodate the optical demultiplexer, the first reflective plane and the second reflective plane being configured to sequentially reflect a multiplex optical signal so that the multiplex optical signal emitted from an end surface of the optical stub is folded back toward the optical stub and is sequentially incident to the optical demultiplexer, and the third reflective plane being configured to reflect the plurality of single-wavelength optical signals emitted from the optical demultiplexer toward the plurality of photo detectors; and a circuit board.

Optical receiver and optical block

A receiver module includes: a photodiode; a carrier configured to mount the photodiode; a base having a surface on which the carrier is mounted; a conductive pattern provided on the carrier, being conductively joined to a cathode electrode of the photodiode; a transimpedance amplifier having a first terminal connected to the conductive pattern through a bonding wire and a second terminal electrically connected to an anode electrode of the photodiode; and a capacitor having a first end electrically connected to the conductive pattern through a conductor having inductance smaller than inductance of the bonding wire and a second end electrically connected to the surface of the base.

Receiver module

A receiver optical module is disclosed where the receiver optical module includes a coupling unit, an optical de-multiplexer, and an optical attenuator. The coupling unit secures an optical fiber. The optical de-multiplexer de-multiplexes a wavelength multiplexed optical beam that is provided from the optical fiber and multiplexes optical signals. The optical attenuator attenuates the wavelength multiplexed signal. A feature of the receiver optical module is that the optical de-multiplexer has a plurality of multi-layered dielectric films each pass one of the optical signals and has a rectangular shape with a shorter side and a longer side; while, the optical attenuator provides a shutter that is movable along the longer side of the multi-layered dielectric films.
