To obtain an electricity storage type air conditioning apparatus which is capable of coping with the improvement in performance of the air conditioner or the needs for increase in cooling load and additional equipment to be installed afterward, by which it becomes possible to easily reduce the power consumption in the daytime even for an existing apparatus in which peak power cut is not considered, and which is suitable to reduce the noise and decrease the size. An electricity storage type air conditioning apparatus comprises a refrigeration cycle system including a compressor, a thermal-source-side heat exchanger, a decompression device and a service-side heat exchanger which are annularly connected by means of pipes to allow a refrigerant to circulate therethrough, a storage battery in which electric power is stored, and a cooling/heating source device by which the refrigerant is cooled and heated between the thermal-source-side heat exchanger and the service-side heat exchanger, the cooling/heating source device being driven with the storage battery.

Electricity storage type air conditioning apparatus and cooling/heating

A system for making an optimum plan for a given problem at high speed. The system sets a planning problem, etc., prepares an objective function and finalizes a plan for minimizing or maximizing the objective function value, and then stores necessary variables. The system prepares as many parent plans of a first generation as a given number (population), calculates objective function values, sorts plans in descending or ascending order of the objective function values of the plans, when selection numbers are assigned to plans in order of a ratio of the objective function value of each plan to the total of the objective function values of the plans, selects parent plans by using numbers indicated by as many constants as the population determined for each generation as the selection numbers, and replaces two elements, arranged at order positions specified by random numbers, with each other for each of the selected parent plans, to prepare child plans.

Planning method and system

A neural network system includes a qualitative evaluation section, a neural network section, a quantifying section and a display section. The qualitative evaluation section qualitatively analyzes an unknown data supplied thereto, and normalizes the result of analysis within a predetermined range. The neural network section having a neural network with plural neurons computes the network output data from the normalized unknown data produced by the qualitative evaluation section. Each neuron is connected to plural other neurons through synapses, each of which is assigned an individual weight coefficient. Each neuron is adapted to output an output function value assigned thereto associated with the total sum of the products of the output from the neurons connected thereto and the synapse weight coefficient. The quantifying section quantifies the network output data to produce desired data. The desired data thus produced is displayed on the display section.

Neural network system adapted for non-linear processing

An apparatus and a method for detecting abnormal combustion in an internal combustion engine and an apparatus and a method for controlling vibration caused by abnormal combustion. The apparatus for detecting abnormal combustion includes a unit for detecting the rotation of an internal combustion engine, a unit for calculating rotation angular acceleration on the basis of the detected rotation, a unit for comparing the rotation angular acceleration at the position of a predetermined crank angle in one cycle of the operation of the internal combustion engine with a predetermined reference value, and a unit for judging from the comparison result whether abnormal combustion occurs in the internal combustion engine. The apparatus for reducing vibration caused by abnormal combustion offsets vibration caused by abnormal combustion and vibration of an electric generator to each other by passing a pulse-like field current in the electric generator in response to detection of abnormal combustion to generate vibration torque in the electric generator.

Abnormal combustion detection and vibration reduction system

An apparatus induces vibrations in a generator for effectively reducing vibrations of a vehicle engine and the vehicle body due to irregular combustion of the engine. The load torque of a generator fixed to the engine is changed to generate an angle moment on the body of the generator to cancel engine vibrations due to rough idling and suppress body vibrations due to the rough idling. Irregular combustion of the engine is detected from a change in the engine speed, and a voltage higher than the output voltage of the generator is than applied across the field winding to increase the field winding current and hence the load torque on the generator, which induces vibrations on the generator body. When the generator vibrations and vibrations due to irregular combustion are in inverse phase relationship to each other, they are cancelled.

Apparatus for reducing vibrations of the body of a vehicle

In an engine control system of the type in which engine control data is calculated for each of a plurality of cylinders, rotation angular speeds of the crank shaft are sequentially detected as individual pistons of the plurality of cylinders take an identical, predetermined stroke position, for example, top speed position and rotation speed data and control data are calculated on the basis of the detected rotation angular speed.

Engine control system

A method of reducing vibrations of a car body comprises a step of detection of rough which is irregular combustion in an engine, preferably through monitoring of angular velocity of a crankshaft of the engine, and a step of exerting such external force as will cancel roll vibrations of the engine caused by the rough on an engine block of the engine temporarily after the occurrence of the rough. A magnitude of the force and timing of exerting the force is preferably determined on the basis of a degree of the rough and the angular velocity immediately before the occurrence of the rough.

Method and apparatus for reducing vibrations of car body

A method of detecting the condition of combustion in each cylinder of an internal combustion engine while monitoring a variation in rotation of a crankshaft in the engine for each cylinder, in which the degree of irregular combustion is judged based on the magnitude of the rotational variation, and/or in which the condition of combustion in a succeeding cylinder is judged based on the difference between rotational variations within one combustion period, of adjacent cylinders, and/or in which the rotational ascending rate within one combustion period, of each cylinder is detected to judge the condition of combustion in the cylinder based on the dropping state of the rotational ascending rate, and/or in which the rotational angular acceleration within one combustion period, of each cylinder is detected to thereby judge that a predetermined cylinder is in a condition of irregular combustion when the quantity of the variation in rotational angular acceleration between adjacent cylinders exceeds a predetermined value.

Method and apparatus for detecting and controlling combustion condition

The present invention relates to an electrical protective circuit, used when abnormality occurs, in a vibration suppressing apparatus which changes the load torque on a generator such as an alternator fixed on the engine to generate an angle moment on the generator body to cancel rough idling engine vibrations to suppress vehicle body vibrations due to the rough idling. In the inventive vibration suppressing apparatus, a generator is fixed on the engine which generator includes a voltage regulator to control a field winding current such that a fixed voltage is output to a battery. The generation of engine rough idling is detected on the basis of either a change in the engine speed or a change in the engine vibrations. If rough idling is detected, a high voltage circuit is connected to the field winding to increase the field winding current and hence the load torque on the generator. In the inventive protective circuit, the battery voltage is compared with a predetermined reference value when no rough idling is detected. If the battery voltage exceeds the reference value, a changeover signal is generated and the high voltage circuit is disconnected from the field winding in response to the changeover signal.

Protective circuit in a device for reducing vibrations of a vehicle body

In a vehicle vibration reduction control apparatus for controlling an alternator driven by an engine to charge a battery in such a way that vehicle body vibration due to the engine can be cancelled by alternator vibration, the reference voltage applied to an alternator field coil is reduced by a predetermined value for a predetermined time period, whenever battery terminal voltage exceeds a predetermined level. Since the battery charging rate can be reduced automatically at battery overcharge due to cancellation of engine vibration by alternator vibration, it is possible to prevent the battery from being overcharged when engine vibration increases at idling, for instance.

Vehicle body vibration reduction control apparatus

A cushioning member is placed in the open slots formed in a core, weirs are disposed at the ends of teeth located on both sides of each of said open slots, a coil composed of a conductor having an insulation film is disposed in said open slots and between said weirs, and said coil is pressed from the opening of said slot toward the bottom thereof in order to deform the cross-sectional shape of the conductor having insulation film from a circular shape into a non-circular shape.

Method of manufacturing an armature

A coil fitting system including a pressing member for fitting in slots of an iron core of an electric rotary machine in one operation step a plurality of coils arranged in such a manner that a portion of one coil end portion overlaps a portion of another coil end portion. The pressing member which is formed at its peripheral edge portion with a plurality of grooves includes a first pressing surface and a second pressing surface. A portion of the pressing member constituting the first pressing surface extends into a region located on an extension in a coil pressing direction of the grooves located radially of such portion, and the first pressing surface corresponds to the coil end portion of one coil. The second surface portion supports, in spaced-apart relation to the first pressing surface in the coil pressing relation, the coil end portion of another coil arranged such that a portion thereof overlaps a portion of the coil end portion corresponding to the first pressing surface.

Coil fitting system

An armature winding assembled in an armature core is formed by concentrically continuously winding a plurality of coils having respectively different coil pitches. The starting-end and terminating-end terminal conductors of the plural concentrically continuously wound coils are led out along the opposite coil sides respectively of the coil having the longest coil pitch among the plural coils.

Armature winding

A molding apparatus for molding a coil of a stator of a rotary electric machine having a novel construction for fitting the stator readily to its mold enabling the molding operation to be continuously performed without interruption even if the thickness of the stator shows variations when fitted to the mold. The molding apparatus includes a pair of mold members, one mold member enclosing one coil end of the stator having a stator core and a coil wound thereon with a clearance therebetween and positioned against one end surface of the stator core disposed outwardly of the one coil end and the other mold member set on the inner periphery of the stator core and enclosing the other coil end of the stator with a clearance therebetween while being positioned against the other end surface of the stator core disposed outwardly of the other coil end. The two mold members are prevented from striking each other when the stator core is held therebetween. A plurality of runners are formed on the other mold member for communicating a first space formed between the first mold member and the one coil end with a second space formed between the second mold member and the other coil end.
